The bed was a great change from the rock hard mattresses in the apartments we had. The bathroom had been newly renovated, and included a thoughtful bathmat for the tile shower floor. The front desk staff was very helpful, even with some limited English. They even found an English speaker for a more complicated request. The location is right off a main street and very centrally located.  If we had more time, we would have spent more than one night here.

I loved this place.  Modern-old school kinda place.  Probably one of the earlier luxury hotels build in Shaoxing so it was both China modern and quirky.  Most certainly not global standard but for me that was much of its appeal.  The rooms are absolutely glorious if not a little weird - the tub had a see-through widow so that you could see the bed area from the tub -- weird but again interesting concept.   Turn down service and they leave chocolate on the pillow -- that's old school.  Breakfast was OK and check in was quick and easy for this laowai.   The location was central.  Overall,  having stayed in the big cities in modern global branded places I loved the unique feel of this hotel and indeed Shaoxing.  If ever back, I would stay the Grand Hotel again

China Quirky

The location of the hotel was ideal, close to the City centre and many attractions. Rooms were spacious, luxurious, and has full sized windows that allow a full view of the city. The waterway that surrounds the hotel is visible from most public places and restaurants, and i like the way this unique feature of the city, is integrated into the hotel.

Excellent place to stay!

This hotel is centrally located, clean, and relatively quiet. The restaurant in the hotel is also pretty good. I would happily stay here again.
