Rooms are spacious and clean, almost a western breakfast (good coffee, too), several restaurants to choose from. My room also had a pc, not sure about every room, though. Stayed on the 13th floor, WiFi signal wasn't the strongest, seemed to depend on which floor you are on (stronger signal on lower floors). Overall happy with my stay,

Nice hotel in a convenient location

Comfortable clean rooms, all usual facilities. Breakfast facilities almost western, but do not arrive late, the breakfast restaurant starts to pack up early! Parking facilities excellent. Location is convenient. Cannot comment on the restaurant as it takes last orders one hour before the advertised closing time of 8.30 pm. Plenty of good restaurants downtown. Airco excellent.

Pleasant Hotel in Cangnan

In terms of comfort and quality, this is currently the best hotel in Cangnan city / Ling xi. The hotel is to the outside of the heart of the city (the center is somewhere between 2 Jie and 5 Jie but moving in the direction of the hotel) – however, a new shopping mall (complete with bank, supermarket, travel agency, restaurants, KTV, etc) is only 500m to the right out of the hotel entrance. Taxis wait outside the hotel and should cost approx 10rmb to take you into the town center (3 mins to 5 jie). 

On check in you will be asked to provide a room deposit – approx 3000rmb (via credit card – an amount is frozen), as a guarantee against damage. This will be unfrozen when you check out. The staff speak limited English – however, you will encounter this wherever you stay in Cangnan county. 

Standard rooms are on a par with the Westins (if not quite as nice) – decent size, marble bathroom, work space – the beds were a little hard for my taste. Business suites have an ante room and a separate toilet in addition to the bathroom. They also include a PC with internet. From what I have seen they vary – if you’re not happy with the room it may be worth enquiring about other availability. 

Most ‘high brow’ business meetings in the town are held in the private restaurant rooms (floors 2 and 3). The food is excellent (if more expensive than other places in town). Cangnan county is renown throughout China for its sea food – the restaurant resembles an aquarium (food is kept alive to demonstrate how fresh it is and you should chose which specific lobster, crab, fish you would like). 

The breakfast buffet on the ground floor, offers a fairly decent spread but was not fantastic.  There is also a decent bar near the lobby area which serves ice cold bottles of qing dao for 15 rmb – and good coffee. 

There is an ATM in the lobby which accepts union pay cards. A taxi from the hotel to Wenzhou airport should cost approx 230rmb (1.5 hrs drive).

Overall, this is the best choice Lingxi currently has to offer.
