On our recent trip to China, we spent two nights in this hotel.  First class facilities and menu for breakfast.  Location provides access to many restaurants within 200 metres.  Expect limited english from most staff except the reception staff.

Outstanding hotel

Stopped here for 3 nights as part of our tour. Great location & great amenities although the information about swimming etc could be clearer, eg you need to wear a hat, get a wrist band etc. When I put my air con on the place stunk of cigarette smoke which was awful. Lots of shops & restaurants close by.

Need to sort the smoking out

You could tell it was not a 5-star place and it looked dated.

However, our room was on the 13th floor and in the corner with a large King bed.  It was firm and even had a rice pillow.

The bath was large and spcious for 2-persons.

There is no foreign channels for cable, but the internet worked and was able to connect to the rest of the world.

Breakfast for decent...not grand, but had enough items to fill you up.

The staff was very gracious.

Across the street is several good restaurants....both Muslim and Xi'an style.  Not expensive....and both very clean.

For the price...not too bad!

Nice comfortable place - not 5-star but Ok and quite room in corner

Although the hotel looks luxurious and the lobby is quite imposing, we found the upstairs passageways absolutely reeked of cigarettes (and maybe other fumes??). After 2 nights here I had an extremely sore throat and lost my voice.  

We did venture to the bar for a drink one night and the only thing we could find to drink was wine or beer. There was no-one there who spoke English, and no drinks menu or spirits list. When it came time to pay our drinks bill, the girl presented us with a  torn piece of paper with an amount scribbled on it (and in spite of it being a “luxury” hotel, we couldn’t add the amount to our room bill, or pay by credit card … cash only).

Wouldn’t Stay Here Again

We stayed here with a group of co-workers on a weekend tour. 

Our room was spacious, but this hotel was far from 5 star luxury.

Despite being in a non-smoking room, it had the stale odor of smoke and ashtrays were in the room. Our main complaint was that the room was uncomfortably hot at 27C, and the AC did not perform. The hotel apparently controls the AC, so the room controls are useless.

The bed was quite firm, so not bad if you like a firm mattress. There was an odd rice pillow provided, but fortunately a nice regular pillow as well. 

The food at the breakfast buffet did not offer a wide variety of western food, and what it offered was greasy. The tea wasn't hot, and the coffee was like mud.

We also had a meeting here and the meeting room was dated and uncomfortable with no AC.

This was a relatively inexpensive hotel, and not horrible,  but certainly uncomfortable. 

The service was poor since they couldn't resolve the AC, and the breakfast was completely self serve.
