We very much enjoy the Atour chain. The location is quite close to the Goose Pagoda and Xi'an museum, as well as a series of nearby bus stops. What we enjoyed most were 1) the excellent rotating breakfast and 2) the excellent service from the staff. Because we did not have Wechat Pay or Alipay it was difficult for us to book event tickets. One of the front desk persons, 月亮 (Ms Moon), used her personal phone to help us book tickets--very much appreciated! 

Not everyone at the hotel speaks English fluently, but we didn't have any problems. In addition to the great breakfast, they also have a couple washing machines available so you can wash a batch of clothing during your stay (detergent included!) Skip the expensive American hotel brands and give this place a try, you wont regret it.

Great hotel at a great price. Excellent service.

It's closeby the major city attraction. Breakfast in hotel is slightly above average, for a non-luxurious hotel, it's not something one should complain about. Room is generally clean (I stayed in twice within a week), simple, and comfortable. Except for 1 day the air con was down for the whole hotel. 

Taxi is cheap but drivers generally speak no English. You may need to get hotel to help with writing something in Chinese for them. There is no bell boy so you have to help yourself with everything...

Simple hotel in city center

Be sure to use the hotel chinese directions with a taxi driver. We did, but we still got dropped at another Atour hotel at 11.30 PM...

The good news is that the staff are excellent and will help where they can. Xi'an is a big country town and the people are lovely in that way. 

The best part of town is to just inside of the east of the South gate of the inner city. It is a great place to cycle in and is flat. Ride the city walls - they are amazing. The warriors are also incredible. Catch a 915 (green) bus (9 Yuan each) from the right side of Xi'an railway station and get an accredited guide at the gate (approx 180-200 Yuan). Don't deal with hustlers. Don't bother with a package deal - not worth the money. Finally, visit Muslim street - amazing!!

Good place to see the southern sites

The accomodation is lovely and cheap. I also got complimentary breakfast in the deal. Any staff cannot speak English or any other language. I had to use their translator app. But the staff was cooperative. Initially had issues with AC, Wifi but got it resolved. TV showed only chinese channels and there was display problem in it. Breakfast options are plenty. The metro line 3 has also opened recently and may provide good access. I booked it since it was close from Chang'an university campus, for a conference visit.

Good place, decent accomodation.

The staff speaks zero English. We choose the hotel because the reviews said good location. Which it is not in our opinion.
We finally figured out how to go to the Terra cotta warriors, via the central bus station, on the way there, first by one bus and then we were looking around now where to go, we met a private tour who was looking for tourists, nothing wrong with that because we had no other  way of finding a guide through the hotel.
Nothing wrong with the rooms, though. Clean, nice shower, no smells in the corridor or room, breakfast a little bit of western mostly chinese. Will not stay here again because of the location but will choose Western chain.
