Ended up here for my quarantine of 2 weeks in Xiamen.

The checkin was slow due to all COVID related business, but I eventually arrived in what appeared to be a large room with all facilities you could ask for, however....

Most of it is broken. AC won't cool so I'm usually sitting in 26-27C, bedsheets are still wet when I go to bed. Power outlets are broken, so you can't plug in fans. HVAC equipment nearby so noisy you can hear it through the bed when sleeping on your side. Carpet is wearing so hard you'll be greeted by tumble weed like dust throughout the room.

Staff are trying, even in English, can't fault them. Food is ok, sometimes good even. But service slow. It pays to joke about a bit with staff, lighten the mood. Communicate with them through WeChat.

Quarantined and not enjoying it

Nice, very clean with good service just 10 min walk from Xiamen airport. Breakfast were just ordinary a bit more Chinese style than western. Room was big and clean but why bathtub was place just next to bed? Currently out were some kind of construction site, which keep noise all over the night.

Even though it is located so much close to the airport, all the benefits end there. It is not a good place for English speaking people. The quality of service is no better at all. There are no labels on the breakfast tables, they close the breakfast table before time or shift the location without any information. The internet does not work properly . It is not price for money

Xiamen Fliport Garden Hotel _ It has another name too

My brother and I stayed at this hotel during September.  It has two buildings with pleasant garden grounds between them.   My brother and I were booked into the building with six floors, and when I asked if I could have a higher room in the adjacent building, was told that they could not do that as the other building was too old.    Anyway, we had a very enjoyable stay in suites which had a delightful living room and bedroom, which were just so comfortable and immaculately clean.   Breakfast was in a very pleasant dining room, but unfortunately not to our Western tastes.  All staff we came into contact with were extremely friendly and I thank you all for making our first visit to Xiamen so enjoyable.

Excellent Stay

Based on the prices seen in Xiamen at the time of my stay (middle of Sep. 2018), I would say the $55 I paid here per night was well worth it. I stayed for 3 nights not because I was transiting between flights but because it seem as best value for money, it was indeed good deal. Probably the best two points with this hotel are the proximity to the airport (less than 5 minutes away driving) and the breakfast buffet.

We got free shuttle both from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel back to the airport. Please note that you must call in advance to book their free shuttle so call them before your departure to verify that someone will be waiting for you.

The breakfast is very Chinese and being a foreigner I loved it! Plus it was extremely healthy and based on different types of steamed vegetables. The variety was great.

The hotel staff are very nice, a few of them can speak English. Get a translation app and you're good to go even with the ones who do not speak English.

I used the swimming pool and it was also nice although quite shallow (1.5m deep).

A taxi to the city center (Zhongshan Walking Street) would cost you between RMB 40 to RMB 50 depending on the traffic and it takes about 20 minutes.

The only two problems I found with this hotel:
1) The internet sucked big time. It was very slow. The WiFi worked better in the lobby area but was still considerably slow.
2) The toilet flush mechanism is the type that does a favor working. It can so easily get clogged from your excrement and it takes more than a single flush to clear it.

Good Choice Around The Airport

We arrived tired, and in the dark, so it was nice to see the man with our names on a sign!  Don't even think about walking from the airport...lots of freeways, and not close.  The hotel is sort of spread out, with rooms in several buildings, and breakfast in another.  But all was clean and comfy, though not luxurious.  The buffet breakfast offered lots of choices, and was a good start to a day with more long flights.

Like other readers have said, this is your typical airport hotel.

Firstly, I do not recommend walking to this hotel from the airport as it is indeed quite some distance and there are sections that do not have sidewalks.

Their service is quite good actually, perhaps it was also due to me having not high expectations to begin with. You can find a VIP lounge upon the arrivals area, which the receptionist will get you a shuttle service, as well as serve you water or juice.

Checking-in at the hotel was a weird experience, after getting checked-in at the first building, the bellboy had to take me through some sort of outdoor maze to get to the second building. Then at the second building, another hotel employee had to complete the second portion of the check-in.

Rooms are bit tired, old, but certainty still livable. I wouldn't recommend staying here for long as there is nothing near by the airport (food, dining, etc.). But for a transit it's definitely recommended. The price range for a room isn't extravagant as well.

A bit tiring, but service makes up for it.

The hotel itself is very tired and needs some renovation.  What is good about this hotel is the free airport shuttle offered to guests. Our flight arrived at the XMN airport at just before midnight. Prior to our hotel stay, I called long-distance to arrange for our airport transfers. The hotel concierge staff was holding a sign with my name to facilitate airport pick up from the T4 Terminal exit door. I also liked this hotel because of the free items inside the minibar.  The free breakfast buffet was also very good!
