Well, I have no idea why we chose this place. We were just tired of walking as yeah, they call themselves different names on different hostel websites. The rooms are humid, cold and shady. We asked for remote to warm it up they asked additional 20 yuans. The common area is nice and cozy, but it was full of chinese screaming youngseters who never respectes the others. We planned to stay one night, we decided to cut it to one...it was too much... and yeah the bathrooms are just too much. To summarize for these amount of money we stayed in much better places in China so they should either do some work around or just make it cheaper.

Filthy and dirty place

No positive point. When the person arrives at the reception, he tries to scam you into paying for what you've already paid for on the Internet. He's always busy playing on his computer and has nothing to do with the questions you ask him. No card to go into the rooms, forced to go through the reception every time. Arriving at 8am, rooms still not ready at 4am, forced to reapply to clean the room every time. The rooms are in a filthy state. It smells like moss, insects everywhere, dirty sheets, toilets/room I don't even mention it. People make no noise from the hostel as much as they go to bed, in the morning. Absolutely avoid bathing.

It's horrible.

I stayed in this hostel for two nights at the beginning of July. The rooms are very hot and unusable during the day since they do not even provide a fan (there is air conditioning but you have to pay extra). Moreover, as mentioned by another traveller below, they claimed that nothing from the deposit of hostelworld goes to them and wanted me to pay the full price for the room (it took some complaining to change their mind). On the positive side, their common area is nice and the location is great (close enough to the old town, but not too close, so that one is not disturbed by the noise in the evening). Still a lot has to be improved...

This is the worst place we have stayed in China!!!!
We arrived here and to our horror saw that they were renovating most of the hostel, but yet they were still taking online bookings. We had to dodge sticking up nails and power tools to get to our room. We asked (above the noise) what time the power tools would stop. We were told at 5 o'clock...It stopped at 10pm! Then the workers were noisy and drinking until 1am. The construction work started up again at 7 in the morning! Also our window faced the corridor and they kept a bright light on all night so it was like day time in our room...we did not get very much sleep! On Hostelworld they advertise wifi and a tour desk. There was no wifi and when we asked about trips to the village the guy pointed out to the street and said "You can find someone out there to take you". He also tried to convince us that the deposit we paid to hostelworld doesn't go to them so we needed to pay it again. We have booked many times with Hostelworld and we have never encountered this before. The location is quite far from the river and not really close to anything. We were supposed to stay 3 nights and left after one. Absolutely disgraceful and I can't believe they claim to be part of the YHA group!
