I stayed here for about a week in June of 2018. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, even though I could not communicate in Manduran. Though there was good internet access, I could not send or receive email from Microsoft Outlook or Google Gmail. This is not the fault of the hotel, but rather the Chinese firewall. I would be very happy to stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Zheng Zhou.

A very comfortable experience

This hotel was chosen for its location (proximity to business meetings). However, with the amount of construction in the area, it wasn't terribly convenient after all. Detours are everywhere due to the ongoing construction of an overpass across the street. Access to restaurants, shops, etc. across the street is limited by the constrction and long twisted detours are necessary. The rooms are a decent size and offer a good work space. However, WiFi access was limited, and there were no English TV programs available. The first room was a bit of a disaster. After entering the room, I entered the bathroom and promptly fell on my backside due to a couple of inches of water in the room. Apparently the ceiling had colllapsed due to a flood from the room upstairs and the marble was  extremely slippery. The front desk did change my room, but the damage was done at that point. The front desk staff have limited English, but they were good about the room change. Restaurant services are limited in the hotel. We ddid manage to order a sandwich that evening. Breakfast buffet is available, and was included with the room, however, there is a large selection of Chinese items and few western breakfast selections. The roof in the main lobby area leaks and there were several puddles on the floor following a snowstorm in the morning. If not for the proximity to my meetings, I would select one of the other hotels in another section of the city. I do commend the staff for being friendly and helpful.

Adequate room for business travel

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days in August 2013. It has a lovely reception area, with a seating area and small gift shop, on arrival a bell boy helped us with our cases, reception staff were pleasant and spoke a little English. The hotel room was large and clean as was the bathroom and there was free WiFi. The view from my room wasn't what you would call idyllic but it was fascinating and you had a glimpse of the other side of life outside the business hotel world. The hotel was within walking distance of the shopping & food malls and I would definitely recommend a stroll to the malls on your visit. The hotel is directly across from a fabulous museum called the Henan Provincial Museum which you really must visit whilst you're in the area. We also took at trip to the Shaolin Temple which was about an hours drive away but definitely worth it.

Lovely Hotel

I had stayed in this hotel 5/6 times in last so many years. I liked the hotel because of English speaking staff and good continental breakfast. But over years when the English of other hotel staffs has improved, you shall struggle to make them understand simple requirement. They had a continental restaurant which they have stopped. In breakfast majority is Chinese food. It may be a good hotel for Chinese people but not for English speaking guys, who do not like Chinese food.

It is continuously deteriorating

This hotel is in a good location. Shopping and several food destinations are within walking distance. Morning Breakfast was good and easy to maneuver for non-Chinese speakers. A/C never worked; I am very warm natured and was unable to cool the room, the temperature seemed to match the outside temperature, no choice, no control.

Overall the hotel was elegant and spotless.
