Clean, central location, reasonable price, nice breakfast. There is no reception, so you must agree your arrival time upon. You also need the exact address as there isn't any name or logo at the entrance.
Easy access to/from the airport with K86 express bus - station National Museum. Tip: you need a chip card to board the bus. If you don't have, pay other passanger to touch in his/her card for you.

Clean, central location, reasonable price

We stayed in a private room with a private bath in this very quaint and quiet hostel. The rooms are small but for the amount of time we spent in the hostel it was not an issue. The walls are thin so you can hear and be heard at all times but we never had an issue with noise, from inside or outside the hostel.  I have stayed with Ole Mi Casa 3 times now, this was the first time we stayed in the actual hostel as they have an entire apartment in the same area which I love but it wasn't available this time. The location is perfect, I always stay in La Macarena when visiting Bogota. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance, you can also walk into downtown Bogota to visit parks, landmarks and museums, including the famous Monserrate!  The breakfast is also included in the price and very good, we ate breakfast in the hostel every day.  The only complaint or suggestion I would offer to the owners would be the lighting in the room, at times when coming in from outside it seemed very dark inside the room, and occasionally a good deep cleaning!

Economical stay in a great area of Bogota

It was really clean hotel and everyone was friendly. However overall experience was not that great - walls are really thin, so you can hear everything from other rooms. Also once we had to wait for breakfast for 1.5 h :(

Nice hotel, but...

The owner was very nice and very helpful when it came to planning our days. The hostel was clean and located very close to some good restaurants and about 15 minutes from La Candelaria. Would stay there again.

Very nice hostel in La Macarena

Kind of like staying at your fun uncle's house. I had a nice room with large window over the street. Shared bathroom was almost always available as there are a limited number of rooms. No large common area, but you always feel welcome at the kitchen table and there is a small terrace up top.Owners are friendly and super helpful. 
La Mararena is an active, safe neighborhood with bars and restaurants. (same block as La Jugueteria) Is is also an easy walk to La Carrera Septima which takes you to La Candelaria (Old Town equivalent) 
Breakfast is at an additional, minimal charge of 9,000 COP. (January 2016) and includes eggs, toast, fruit, fresh juice (yum), and tea or coffee. 
Small markets (water, pop, snacks, beer, cigarettes, etc) nearby and taxis can easily be caught at the end of the block.
