This place is in the northeastern part of the old town of Cartagena, which is a good location (apart from nearby construction across the street) if you want something that is in the old city but quiet.  The street is quiet and away from all the noise of the main area but is still a short walk to everything and there is an Exito supermarket very close by, which is convenient.

However, the place is more basic than it looks and seems to have fallen slightly into neglect.  We got two rooms for our family of 4, both rather basic and dreary inside with no windows to anywhere - one had a window that looked right onto a blank wall and the other had a window with no glass or covering that opened into the small pool/lobby area and thus was loud due to the pool machinery next to it.  The rooms were stuffy and cramped, the air-conditioning worked but was very loud and had a blue light shining in our faces.  The rooms were reasonably clean but just a touch dirty, especially the bathrooms.  The bathroom was small and had no hot water in the faucet while the shower either shot out hot water or had only cold water, no in-between.  We experienced hot-water/plumbing/bathroom limitations in most places we stayed in Colombia but at this price we expect something better.  In an effort to be modern and have a television, they stuck a television on the wall with an ugly mass of wires all over the place, making that part of the room just ugly and messy.  I would prefer no television at all (I admit I never use them when travelling) - I understand some people want that but really I, and I think many others who travel to places like this, prefer attractive charm and character to having a television. 

The female staff during the morning and daytime were friendly and helpful.  They provided us a nice, standard Colombian hotel breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruit, etc.

The male staff member on duty in the evening and night was taciturn, unfriendly, and seemed unpleasant.  

The breakfast area at the open end of the lobby by the pool was nice and pleasant.

The place seemed dead and deserted.  We saw one other family in the morning we left, and nobody else.  

The pool seemed pleasant but its cramped location combined with the unfriendly employee in the evening and the complete lack of anyone else made us feel uncomfortable about relaxing there.  

Overall, this is decent enough for a single-night stay and a quick visit to Cartagena, but had an unpleasant, drab, and uninviting quality.  If I were going to stay in Cartagena for 2 or more nights and wanted a really enjoyable experience, I would not stay here again.

Decent Little Hotel With Good, Quiet Location

We had to stop here for a short drive from another hotel, my girlfriend was feeling bad so we had to go to the new hospital of bocagrande but before that we had to call the social work etc. The lady who attended us at the reception was very warm and kind and didn't charge us for the call, advised us how to go to the hospital and helped us to call the taxi.

The best: the warmth of the staff.

We found this trough internet, it's a small place in the middle of Cartegena in a nice area 
It's well managed and the room a big and all works very well.
They are warming and supporting the tourists, I suggest this place for all the time in Cartagena

One of the best place in south America

The location of the hostel/hotel is good, it's in the old town but on a quiet street (although while we were there, there was construction taking place across the street (7:30AM - 4PM). The room and bathroom are basic and relatively small, but they seemed clean and there is AC. The breakfast was quite extensive and good!

Very nice hotel, comfortable beds and highlighted cleanliness.The location is excellent as it is within the walled city.The people who work there are very friendly, always willing to provide you with all the information you need to tour the city.

The Excelente Hotel is a hotel.

The location is ideal, within the walled city, close to everything walking (not only tourist attractions, but also a block from a supermarket, and about 6 or 7 from a shopping). It's a no-brainer B&B, typical colonial houses, nice and well-kept. With very good price ratio. The few rooms all have their own balcony or terrace. The breakfast is rich and abundant. Perhaps they could offer more services (bars or some meals) because it has nice common areas that could be enjoyed more, especially because with so much heat, hours that they give to stay a while in the hotel until a little sun. Interesting date: the internet works very well. I always highlight the kindness of the staff, (but I don't write the names) Yudis, Luis Zulay, and Natalia. There is also a great choice of accommodation available.

Excellent location.

I live in a renovated house with the taste of the San Diego neighborhood within the walls. It has five rooms each very different from the others. Comfortable and comfortable.Excellent apartment.Very well located to stroll around the city.It is located on Jardines Street.Although here the streets change names from corner to corner.

Hotel with enchantment

We spent three nights in this hotel. The rooms are clean, the family suite is very nice and spacious. The hotel is very well located, two steps from all amenities. The staff is nice. You will have wifi, a small mirador on the roof will allow you to enjoy the late day breeze. A small swimming pool and a jacuzzi are available to cool you off during the hottest hours. There is currently work around, it's a little noisy during the day, at night, the calm is back.

Peaceful hotel

A concept of a boutique hotel home where you feel at home, the breakfast is delicious and included, it's very central and the only detail is that it needs an a/a in the suite, because it's high in heat and not cool enough.

This was a great B&B! Small, cozy and clean - great location for walking throughout the city!
The staff was great and very helpful - this was also an extremely budget friendly accommodation. We would definitely stay again!
