Me and my boyfriend stayed there just for one night - they guy in the reception didn't bother to talk to us, to give basic info about wifi or breakfast, we only knew it because I was asking him everything.
The room didn't have mosquito net, the shower was almost not working, there were bunch of ants in the bed, during the night there was lots of noise from the street and inside - I had to wake up and go to ask others to be more silent. 

Wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend this to anyone else.

Good for one night

There is not much good that can be said about this place I'm afraid. The room stunk, the toilet didn't flush, there was a lot of mold in the shower and the WIFI was nearly inexistent. Worst of all (certainly in the Amazon region: there was NO mosquito net!

It was said that this place had a good location, close to the harbour from where you can take a boat to the jungle. The opposite is true. Of course, Leticia is not a big town, but it actually couldn't have been further away from the harbour.

We seemed to be the only ones there and all other rooms were unlocked with the doors wide open. This stayed that way until we went to sleep. Because of our busted toilet we wanted to use the toilet in a different room at night, but suddenly all rooms were in use, which we found rather strange. Later we learned from local people that this hotel was known to rent rooms to hookers who take their Johns to this place to do whatever they do. We were disgusted!

To make matters worse: In the same building their is a travel agent located: George of the jungle. We weren't at all interested because we had completely different plans. Something they just didn't seem to understand. They are extremely pushy and go way beyond what you could call normal sales tactics.

Absolute NO GO !!!

I'm not surprised that I later learned it's known in town to be a brothel.

Simple,clean and secure rooms. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful proprietor. Meals available quite cheaply (if required). Essentially this is a hotel primarily suited to budget travellers and, as such, is to be highly recommended. Leticia itself is an exceedingly pleasant little town and well worth a short visit.

Everything that we required.

Annoyingly our first encounter with this hostel was 'Jorge of the jungle' he was at the airport, asked our cab driver where we were going then followed us. Turns out he has some agreement with the hotel that if he shows us to our rooms he can tout for his jungle tour business. Annoyed that he'd followed us from the airport, and was asking whether we wanted a jungle trip before we even walked through our bedroom door, he then showed us our room. In fact he didn't understand our desire for him to leave us alone until I had to rudely say "adios jorge" while showing him the door. This guy followed us around for the rest of the afternoon and kept popping out of no where (ie on our way to tabatinga) and despite saying we only had two days in leticia and didn't have time he persisted. A few hours later he got the message, and it was good to finally get rid of him. 

As for the hotel, it's clean, sheets changed every day, but needs modernising. The wooden window had a large gap so we had to keep the mossie net over us for our stay and the air con was ridiculously loud. Cheap, but we've stayed in better for the same price 

Basic, cheap, OK. Watch out for "Jorge"

We'd been on the Amazon for a few days so we were desperate for a bed and shower.  The beds were comfy and clean, the shower was cold but it's a hot jungle so didn't worry us to much.  We were in the room close to the reception which I wouldn't recommend if your a light sleeper...but we were so exhausted we slept through it.  You have to book breakfast which wasn't that appealing, however walk out the front door, turn left and on the other side of the road (30 mtr or so) there is a great place that makes crepes and fresh juice, yum!! Cheap too.  The location is fine, 5 blocks to the main plaza area.  But still a lot of shops close by.  we felt safe at night too.  Leticia is a lovely place, locals were very friendly to us.
