You cannot use this hotel as a main staying place for your holiday in Medellín. It is just OK if you spend one night waiting for a flight or a bus connection. It is located in the city center, close to the Botero place, but not on a nice street. It has a 24-hours reception. My room was infested by cockroaches.

Very basic an old hotel

The location is at 2 minutes by walk next to the city center but the streets where is located the hostel are quite insecure. Many prostitutes, drug addicted. The price is really good, we paid 38€ for 2 people and 4 nights. The hostel is fine but nothing really confortable. Bedrooms are big with 2 bathrooms but the showers are not so clean and toilets don't have any bowls. Don't walk over there the night, it's dangerous.                                             L'hotel est situé a 2 minutes a pied du centre. Mais les rues ou est situé l'hotel ne sont pas très frequentables( drogués, prostitués). Les prix sont très honnêtes ( 4 nuits pour 2, 38€). L'hotel est ok mais ne vous attendez pas a du confort. Les douches pas très propres et pas de cuvette sur les toilettes. Mais les chambres sont grandes avec 2 salles de bains. Ne vous promenez pas la bas la nuit, c'est dangereux.

Not that good/ pas si bon

Good:
+ Close to Plaza Botero & Parque Berrio metro station; 
+ Can't beat the price - very cheap for the city center; 
+ Good TV / cable channels

Bad & Ugly:
- You do get what you pay for - extremely cheap for a private room with private bath in the center, but with that, comes several issues...
- Though close to the center, the location was sketchy.  Just a block from the hotel on the way to Plaza Botero or Parque Berrio metro station, you pass by some questionable areas, people & lots of prostitutes - definitely doesn't feel safe at night; 
- Lots of traffic noise due to the location; 
- Not really a lot of good restaurants that are close by; 
- The room had lots of cockroaches & bugs crawling everywhere (I lost count of the number of cockroaches I killed); 
- The room wasn't very clean or comfortable, which is probably why there are lots of cockroaches; 
- Wifi only works on the first floor; 
- The staff was ok - not the best or the friendliest, but ok

Can't beat the price but you get what you pay for

I stayed in this hotel while the Feria de las flores was taking place. It's in a great location, close to the metro, and plaza de botero. The food facilities around are bad, I didn't find any good place to eat my breakfast. But with the metro I just went to other parts of the city where the food was better. It isn't no luxury hotel, but it's much better than to stay in a hostal, and it's on a good central location. The hygiene of the room was good too, which I find very important . The staff were super friendly too, I had a great time there and will definitely return.

Excellent hotel, for it's price

First off, this is not a luxury hotel.  There was pretty much everything you would expect from a cheap hotel.  However, the room was comfortable and the location was ideal.  The most important thing, if you're traveling with one other person, this place is less than half the price of the cheapest hostel in the city...and you get a private room rather than space in a dorm.  The desk staff were very friendly and allowed us to stash our bags for the last day before we left.  I would recommend people visit this hostel if they're looking for an affordable place.  If you're looking for real comfort/luxury, look somewhere else.
