My room was a stuffy, windowless cave on the first floor. There was frequently lots of noise from the lobby outside.Their credit card reader was broken, luckily I had enough cash on hand. The first shower I took didn't have hot water, the second had some, but it ran out pretty quickly. Breakfast was good, cooked to order, probably the only redeeming thing. Location next to the park is nice. Wifi was good.

Noisy, stuffy room

The hotel is OK for people that are looking for a place to stay one night before their flights from San Jose. Breakfast was good scrambles eggs beans and rice with bananas and orange juice and coffee. They called a taxi for us and we took off. We didn't have hot water running. The other couple we travel with did have running hot water.. Restrooms are a little bit dirty. We didn't use them. Beds were comfortable. WiFi worked OK. Be careful the guy at the hotel told us that we needed to pay at the front desk, however I told him we had already paid online and then he said oh ok yeah right you are covered. Just be careful I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he was being honest. The Cook was very nice to us they were very nice during our breakfast stay.

Ok for a one night before our flight.

We were returning from Manuel Antonio and Quepos early. We decided we wanted to stay at San Jose for a night and maybe visit the city. I looked on Trip Advisor for a hotel close to the airport. Found the Catedral Casa Cornejo. Located next to the cathedral and looked like it would be to our liking.   After checking in, we found the room a few feet from a busy street. We had an air conditioner that sprayed a fine mist and fell onto our bed. The bed spread was stained and one of the sheets were torn.
Normally I would have left this type of environment, We were not in a normal situation and did not think ot sfafe to leave the hotel at night,
I do not like to send a negative message about places I visit. Every person has a different perspective on what the see but I would recommend yaking a closer look at this hotel.
The staff was friendly and it appears they are trying hard to build up their hotel and I think in a year or two they will accomplish a quaint little place.

Disappointment. Got what I paid for

There's no hot water in the bathroom, we arrived at night... I wanted to take a shower and I had to do it with very cold water. Sheets are stained, the tv its a joke(I thought it was a computer because of the size), Everything semmed clean but very old, in bed, my eyes got allergy. We were in the last floor and I couldn't sleep all night because there were doves on the roof walking around literally ALL NIGHT. Its a nightmare. And for the price, they can really do better.
  Pretty sure Im not coming back.

The worst hotel I've had ever been.

Stayed here while we waited for or flight. It was only one night so I won't be too harsh. Our room was right on the first floor in front of reception.. kinda weird. Would not stay here again. Tv was tiny! And you can hear everything outside. Bed sheets where soft tho. I did stay at better hostels than this place
