The rooms are great and equipped with a mosquito net (might not seem crucial but you will realize, it is indeed). The backyard is per se a great spot to find wildlife and it is very close from the entrance of the national park. I would greatly recommend. Mr. Peck is a great host and he can take you snorkeling and for a hike in the park. You get to experience the difficulties of spotting wildlife and Mr. Peck will teach you well.

I had a great stay at the Riverside Cabins!

The gardens were amazing, within 5 minutes of arriving a toucan landed on the tree in front of our room, capuchins came everyday too. If you love wildlife it's perfect. There's so much nature in the garden. It literally backs on to Cahuita national park, which is also a definite must if you head to the area! The host was brilliant and really helpful too. If we'd of had more time in Cahuita we would have stayed longer! Our favourite place of the trip so far.

Amazing wildlife and brilliant location

We stayed here for 3 nights over a week ago whilst backpacking. Whilst the stay was initially fine on our last day (the day the cleaners came in) our room was broken into and all our stuff stolen including all our electronics, passports and even our backpacks. The owner 'Peck' was conveniently away that night and we never saw or heard from him again. The night of the break in there was no security and no one heard anything. There is no security at these cabins. We only went out for dinner for an hour and in that time the room was ransacked. We have our suspicions that this could have been an inside job as the padlock was missing from the door and it looked suspicious, BE WARNED THERE IS NO SECURITY AT THIS HOTEL AND THE ROOMS ARE NOT SAFE WE DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF OR OWNER.

DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS NOT SAFE WE WERE BURGLED

Very close to both the beach and national park, Riverside Cabins were the perfect location and accommodation for us, being a father and two adult sons exploring Costa Rica's natural environment. Very laid back and amazing to see cayman, iguanas, buzzards, storks, monkeys and a variety of birds right in the backyard.

Amazing wildlife in the back garden

We stayed at the top floor of the building. This means a kitchen, a place to sit (a couch two chairs) and a dining area and two bedrooms. And a shower.
The beds were not very good and the shower had only cold water. Still it was a good hotel. Its spacious, has a nice wooden floor, has a perfect location and a nice garden with lots of animals. Wifi worked perfectly.
