The truth is that by the comments I imagined something better in terms of facilities. the room of 7 was of good size, but there are points to improve. Few plugs, the lockers were tiny and the bathroom has a window but no ventilation system, so to be inside is hell. In addition the curtains are super thin, the room starts to light up around 6 am. Breakfast was included, but it was the same every day and nothing else (pancakes and fruit). Thanks for the water filtered for free. Good location, near beach Carmen, although I liked the beach of Banana Beach more. Also, there is no parking. There is no price-quality ratio (25 US nights), although everything in La Santa Teresa is expensive. The attention of the girls is expensive.

Too expensive for what it was.

This hostel is very friendly. It is THE place to have nice meetings, eat and hang out in the community. The staff is very kind and always ready to help when needed. A good breakfast included in a well-equipped kitchen. There is the possibility of renting surfboards. The location is perfect, close to the sea.

A stay beyond my expectations

I made a surfing trip in January. I walked through Santa Teresa and parked in two monkeys. I was super well attended. The main one was Candy who organized activities with the people who were staying at the hostel and thus managed to achieve better dynamics and integration. The atmosphere of the place is excellent. Good tables are also rented. Breakfast is excellent. The hostel is located a block from the beach. Super recommended!!! Thank you Candy Villela for everything!!!!!!!!

Excellent Hostel, the best environment in the world!

I was suckered in by the idea of a few cool nights sleep, however the AC is set at 27c or 80F, so it's actually much cooler outside with a lower temperature and a breeze. I guess if you sleep outside, you miss the smell of 6 people sleeping in a tiny unventilated room with a heater on in Costa Rica. The first night nobody was around to turn down the AC, even the security guard was missing. The next day, I asked very nicely if they could turn it down, but they just said yes and did absolutely nothing about it, so night 2 sucked as well. Stay somewhere else so you aren't disappointed. 

Miserably hot in the dorms, AC useless 

The attention of the staff (Cristian and Josefina) was cordial and sincere. Breakfast is just what you need to start the day and in general the atmosphere of the hostel is quiet. Very close to the beach.

Excellent hostel for rest.

Great place to stay at. It was in a good location and close to good surf spots. Good walking distance to restaurant, bank, stores. The people that worked there were really cool and recommended surf spots.

Nice Hostel

A very good service, super pleasant to all the staff. and the best of all was the cleanliness, everything is super clean. they also have a very good location, the beach is across the street and the places to eat or shop are walking from the place.

Exc Hostel to stay!

This coqueto hostel is characterized by the good treatment and service not only of its owners but also of its employees.The price is convenient and includes breakfast.It offers laundry service and surfing table rental.Café and water are available 24 hours a day.Ahhhhh and the air-conditioned rooms.

Agradable 

We went out with a few friends in mid-March 2019.The rooms are super comfortable, spacious with a large bathroom and very comfortable beds!The kitchen is 100% equipped and super large.Internet ten points, no complaints.The hostel is close to the beach, with barcodes and several super!A very cozy atmosphere, the staff very friendly and always present!I would go back and recommend it to everyone!

Very good!!

I had a great stay at Hostel dos Monos. The staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast is delicious. The rooms and toilets are clean. The beds are comfortable even if my mattress was a little through. There is AC in the rooms, which was a great surprise. The people are open and friendly. It's about two minutes away from the beautiful beach. The only shortcoming: there are no individual lights on the beds, which means you have to turn on the ceiling lamp if you don't have a flashlight or a cell phone with you. Besides, there's only a shower. But still, it worked. I would come back!
