Great property on a beautiful beach.  The grounds, pool and yoga platforms were very well maintained.  Restaurant had great variety and everything was delicious.   We asked to change rooms to a beachfront location and staff was very accommodating.

Beautiful Beach!

What a gem of a  unique hotel!  I have stayed here multiple times and it just keeps getting better. They are located under the canopy where the jungle meets the ocean. It is absolutely beautiful to walk the small gravel paths that run through the property. So peaceful and with hammocks everything. If you look up you will see the monkeys that live there. The sunsets are the best this world traveler has seen. 
Now onto what makes this place extra special…the people that great me every year. The loveliest group of people I have met. It starts with Andry and Alejandra at the front desk. Andry I want to wrap up and take home with me. So sweet. Alejandra gave us some restaurants to try in Puerto Viejo. He was spot on. Enough can not be said about the restaurant staff. It starts with Mama in the morning making sure we are eating a good breakfast. The guys working in restaurant  have won my heart. Jefferson,Miguel,Bryan, Bairon, Brandon, Juan and Jorge all really care and take the best care of you with a smile on their face and their kind hearts showing. And it all comes down to Marcella who became hotel manager in the last couple years. She has made improvements that only make this special spot even more special. I have watched her with her staff and they work beautifully together. And on top of being a hard worker her kindest shines in her beautiful face.  Between the beautiful setting and beautiful people you can not go wrong staying here.

My love letter to Tropico Lantino

The location is gorgeous, food is amazing, the staff is the kindest, happiest, sweetest group of people! Our room was beautiful, only drawback was I didn’t pack enough tropical, light weight clothes. The massage I I received at the spa was stellar. Loved my stay.

Fabulous location for a yoga/Nia retreat!

We wanted a beach location while staying in Santa Teresa, and Tropico Latino met our needs perfectly! Our room was large and bright with a totally handy kitchenette. 
The restaurant was great and the menu has a bunch of great salads, among other things! The greens come from the hotel’s own organic garden. 
The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I loved it here and will be back!

Great place!

Lovely,helpful staff, nice location.  Very good beds, comfortable rooms that need updating...e.g. bathroom was old and moldy in places, shower didn't work well--low pressure, half the water came out of the tub faucet.  No blackout curtains.  Good a/c. 
Pool is smaller than it looks on the website, nice but not for lap swimming.  Some oddities: the "gym" is not available except if a trainer is hired, also, has no treadmills (it's insanely hot so outdoor running presented a challenge).  Also, beware the Howler monkeys: they love to throw their feces and ruin the hammock experience.  Breakfast is fine, didn't eat there otherwise.

Pleasant stay

Ideal holiday facilities, everything very clean and in place. You walk a few minutes and you spend the whole day in front of the sea. The restaurant is very tasty, fresh food and a varied menu. The cocktails: a 10! All the staff is very helpful alone that could be a little more attentive but, well, they solve any needs. It is a very cozy hotel, many trees, a lot of life that allows you to live the experience with 100% tranquility.

The best of the best!

We were 3 with a very young child and we had a standard room. they gave us room 9, located on the side of the road. impossible to sleep the noise was incessant. I asked the second night to change, the only thing they offered was to pay 80usd more to have a room on the beach front (i.e. 20usd discounted against part of a good review on Booking.com) that's a shame, we paid 220usf at night, it's already very expensive. No sense of commerce and customer satisfaction. Much too much for this! The room is also very old (but spacious), very noisy bed, three times too expensive for the quality.

This place is second to none. We continue to return we love it so much. The owners are fantastic people. I couldn't write enough about how much I recommend. Food is great. The beach area is one of the best in all of ST. 

Best Hotel you will EVER FIND!

Run before staying here
The hotel in concept sounds lovely. On the beach with healthful food and daily yoga classes.

I stayed here with my family of 3 kids.for 2 nights we had no hot water, 2 days there was no water and the remainder of the time the water went from burning hot to freezing cold in a few minutes and then completely losing water pressure. My children literally screamed every time they had to shower and I physically had to be with them to help keep changing the water.

We had barely any wifi. My husband was forced to work remotely from a coffee shop instead of at the hotel . I couldn't make any wifi calls from my room. I tried to leave and book another hotel and was not able to do so from my room due to the weak internet. The tv only works on wifi. I couldn't enjoy wine on my balcony with my husband because there was no TV for the kids to watch for 30 minutes

I have traveled all over the world and to many remote places . This has been the worst hotel experience I ever had. The value you get for the price they are charging is absurd. Literally stay any where else.
If you come here to do yoga...think again the swimming pool and hang out area are right next door. My kids were having a great time screaming and playing right outside all the yoga classes.

Good was delicious... Service extremely slow. Staff was very nice.

For families the pool is pretty mediocre. It has lots of chipped tiles, is completely in the shade and quite cold. Very deep...my 10 year old couldn't stand anywhere and covered aroundy stones that hurt to walk on because they were too cheap to pave it

The door to my mini bar didn't work and was covered in rust. 

If the room cost 50 dollars and didn't have hot water.... Like many places I have stayed in Thailand and Nepal... Then maybe I would possibly consider it.

But the fact that no one offered me anything for ruining my vacation just shows you how little the hotel management cares. Like not even one smoothie to say so sorry you have been here for 6 days with no wife, tv or a normal shower 
I have never complained to a hotel before and am a pretty easy going person. I was in constant WhatsApp communication everyday with reception to let them know of my wifi, tv and water situation.

If you have any doubts whether this is the place to book please listen to me and don't. I would do anything to go back in time and book another hotel

Run before booking here. Worst hotel experience I have ever had

A very cozy hotel, surrounded by so many trees that allow you to experience the experience of tranquility in close contact with the wildlife of the area.I went with my family, its facilities are perfect for vacationing, you just have to walk a few minutes to have a delicious breakfast right in front of the sea.Its restaurant is very picturesque, fresh and delicious food.The entire staff is very helpful and attentive to resolving any needs for the least.I will definitely be back.
