I had the privilege of spending one wonderful month at Cabinas Au Coeur du Soleil in beautiful southern Costa Rica.  The Cabinas have a perfect location - private yet walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants. Bicycles are included in your rent. 

The Cabinas are on a beautiful wide beach perfect for swimming and walking. The cabinas are very charming, spotless and comfortable.  

The fantastic hosts, Joanne and Daniel are very friendly and helpful. 

I highly recommend Cabinas Au Coeur du Soleil for your trip to Costa Rica. It is a very good value. 

Perfect Beach Cabina 🦋

Friendly and Kind French Canadian owners.  It was fun blending use of English/Spanish/French in communication with them :)  Site has 3 Cabinas - all are comfortable, well provisioned and clean (all with own bathroom, shower and netting around beds). Fans or open windows only. Loved the table and chairs set plus hammock provided on each deck! Laundry line too. On sight safe inside their main house/office. Grounds are well maintained with pretty flora. Bicycles available for longer excursions ... walking distance access for groceries and supplies stores as well as a few restaurants/bars/live music. Wifi ... no tv ... Enjoy the Beach!

Great Experience

There are 3 cabins each with their own porch and seating area outside. They are quite basic but very comfortable and are kept immaculately clean each day. They are situated either side of the owners Joanne and Daniels beach house. the gardens are absolutely stunning with numerous plants, trees and flowers attracting a whole host of wildlife. The garden leads directly onto playa zancudo beach an unspoilt, wild shoreline that stretches for several miles. We were there in low season which for us was great as the beach was practically deserted. A wide variety of birds are attracted to the garden so if you like nature or birdwatching this is the place for you. i spent a few hours just sitting on the porch photographing hummingbirds, tanager, etc You also have use of bicycles and bodyboards if you wish. You are within walking distance of a couple bars inc Sol Y Mar which is only 5 mins walk. the supermarkets are only a minute or so which sell all the provisions you will need. Zancudo is a rural village off the beaten track situated along a single road populated by a local community of several hundred people including a number of ex pats. We met some great people whilst we were there. My tips for travelling around the Osa peninsula, have good mosquito spray, a torch, ensure you take first aid kits with waterproof dressings etc and be vigilant with your possessions. Cabins Au Coeur Soleil is a truly wonderful place and Joanne and Daniel have created a slice of heaven that you can experience.

Great place to stay. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Cabinas are very confortable and clean. The surrounds are lovely and cabinas are couple steps from the Beach. Sand is great and ocean is clear and refreshing. There's couple of boats going to Golfito or you can always get there with the Collectivo. Bring enough money because there is no bank or ATM at Zancudo. Also don't stay on the beach around 4pm. It's mosquitos hour. Oh by the way, Zancudo means mosquito.


Muy Bonita

Joanne ( the owner) is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Both her an Daniel were very kind and gracious hosts. We enjoyed the use of the beach cruiser bicycles. The rooms are very open air although screened in. It's really awesome to sleep with the sound of the waves. It is great beach side living. Pura Vida at it's finest, we made several wonderful new friends
