Jaco is not the nicest of towns. It is a little seedy. But Diamonte del Sol is a lovely condo complex on the beach. Get a unit on an upper floor over the palm trees for the best view. Incredible sunsets from your balcony. Great pool!  The complex is gated and it is within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores.

If you're going to stay in Jaco (which is a separate review entirely - the answer for most people should probably be no), then I think Diamante del Sol is a great place to stay. The property is clean and very safe with tight security 24/7 monitoring everyone going in or out. It is right on the beach with a nice pool area as well. I think each unit is different but our 4 bedroom was gorgeous with everything you would need.

Great place to stay for Jaco

We were booked into 102S and it was absolutely amazing!!  Beautiful inside, 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.  Sparkling clean!  The view was stunning.  We just walked out of the french doors on to an amazing patio, down the steps and in the pool.  Just across the pool was the beach and ocean!!  I hope to go back some day and I will specifically request this unit!!!  Driver from the airport was awesome and everyone was great!!

First Trip to Costa Rica - Amazing Place to Stay

Trust me when I tell you that you can do better. I have stayed at many beach front condominiums in Jaco and the surrounding area. Villa Kisskade is my favorite. That is in Manual Antonio. Toucans, monkeys, and a mother slouth with her baby in the yard. Your own private pool and your own private house keeper (Maria). Oh yes and private gardener. Believe me you can do better. If you can't afford Villa Kisskade then check out Vista Mar Jaco. Beach view from not only the livingroom but also the master bedroom and master bedroom shower. It is awesome.  Trust me you can do better than 602 N.

We rented a unit through air Bnb and it had black mold growing in the closets - all the appliances were broken and the a/c half worked. The location is great and the pool was great but the unit needed a lot of updating - we were disappointed to have no working washer over the holidays -

We rented the property, Diamante del Sol 202S in Jaco Costa Rica, with another couple.  We have rented with them through VRBO for the last 10 years or so.  This was by far the worst property we ever had.  I believe he is writing a review but if not I will.  Here are a few of the low lights. The lighting is terrible, there is mold, the furniture is dated and uncomfortable.  The shower in the master did not produce hot water and no one responded to my emails for this to be fixed.  The kitchen has terribly mismatched dishes and pans.  You certainly could not cook a proper meal.  The furniture on the patio is not adequate and uncomfortable.  This is the tip of the iceberg.  This is not up to the standards we expect in renting an expensive VRBO property.  VRBO and Vacasa should drop this property from your inventory.  It is not fit to rent at any price.

Miserable condo in Jaco Costa Rica

I love this place but the security and management team treat the guests with complete disrespect.  Case and point.  I swim laps every morning and a I have a plastic cup of water that I need between laps.  The security guard acted like I had a nuclear bomb next to the pool, and when I asked to speak to the manager she came out and was extremely rude and disrespectful. Bordering on racism.     I cannot believe a guest would be called names and treated with utter disrespect.  I am disabled and they wanted me to get out the pool between laps and go to my room for WATER.    This is ridiculous.   The security and management team are out of control.  They are ruining the experience.    I will never return.

Very poor management

Poor service, condition of condo very poorly maintained, not cleaned adequately; towels with stains, cobwebs everywhere, musty smell; I found leftover food in the microwave from previous tenant! The first floor condo is right in front of the pool- no privacy and the lock on the sliding door was broken. It was not fixed during my stay despite repeated requests. Definitely at 1-2 star property. Avoid at all costs.
