This by far exceeded our expectations! The views alone are worth the visit. We had an absolutely gorgeous view of the ocean and surrounding forest area that made for wonderfully peaceful mornings. The pool had an equally wonderful view. We never encountered anyone else and essentially had a private pool during our stay. Inside, each room has access to one of the decks outside which made it easy to step outside and enjoy the wonderful view. The villa is about a 5 minute drive into town. We went into town and tried a different restaurant every night. We asked Johnson for recommendations and every single one was great! We got to do things like surfing, horseback riding, snorkeling, kayaking, and waterfall hiking while we visited. After our adventures, coming back to relax at the pool or the deck was the perfect way to spend a day in Costa Rica! You don’t want to miss this stay!

The best stay in Costa Rica!

Beautiful, quiet place, generous, tastefully furnished rooms, very well equipped kitchen (including coffee machine and stand mixer for fine smoothies), shady, private terrace surrounded by nature, who wants more sun, can use their own flat roof with armchairs. Beautiful pool with shower and armchairs, very nice, helpful care. The view to the sea and forest is really great, the garden is very nicely laid out. Every day we could observe hummingbirds, tucanos and squirrels, which once were regularly heard, sometimes they should also be well seen. In 5 minutes you can be in Montezuma, with the beach and restaurants, and you can reach the park directly from the waterfall.

So glad we found casa Frangipani. It’s beautiful here. The villas are nicely decorated and laid out. Outdoor patio with table for 6, rooftop terrace, well equipped kitchen, sleeps one couple in bedroom and 2 young children in daybed in living room (no a/c). Shared pool is nice and the grounds are lovely. At a third of the price of the luxury hotels we stayed in in Nosara and Santa Teresa, this is a little gem. Would def come back.

Lovely hilltop villas close to beach

The villas have great privacy, they are extremely comfortable and super clean. The upper terraces allow you to see birds, rest and see the stars at night. The view is spectacular and the common areas very well taken care of. I had been there before and will definitely return. I highly recommend it.

A wonderful stay.

Loved this beautuful place. Was such a perfect place for few days in Montezuma. The grounds are stunning with a lovely pool, beautiful view from here or an evening swim under the stars. Apartment was immaculate. Highly recommended your own transport although plenty of taxis, but it's up one heck of a hill. Highly rate Frangipani for anyone seeking a little Costa Rican luxury 🏝

Fantastic

Although the access is a bit complicated, the villas are spacious, tastefully decorated and can accommodate up to 4 people. The outdoor space is full of iguanas and monkey passages in the morning at dusk, not to mention birds. The pool is a real plus. Perfect and friendly and personal home. We recommend.

Little jewel

Frangipani is an excellent property in the town of Montezuma, Costa Rica. It offers privacy and comfort. All villas are in perfect conditions. Super neat and clean. Pool area is fantastic, and the view is breathtaking. 

Paradise in Costa Rica

This was our 2nd time at Casa Frangipani - it is a beautiful location, close to the center of town, the magnificent beaches and the airport at Tambor. The Villa #3 was a perfect space for 3 of us. We used it as a base to day trip into Santa Teresa and Mal Pais and Cabano to get some great local produce and meats. After a successful fishing trip, we were able to come back to our little house and cook up amazing meals in the very adequate kitchen with the use of the charcoal grill. Even when other guests were on the property, it was quiet with plenty of privacy, The staff is always around and available to help you with anything you might need. Amazing place with beautiful views. We look forward to returning.

Paradise

Casa frangipani, our charm is a quiet, sober place, has an excellent location, it is even more beautiful than described or seen in the photos..near the center of Montezuma but away from the noise and cars, the view to the sea and the mountains is very beautiful as well as the cool climate by the vegetation that surrounds the place, the villas are very comfortable, very complete have everything you need to be comfortable, the aseo is exceptional both inside and outside the villas, the place is impeccable, if you like peace, silence and being in harmony with nature definitely Casa frangipani is ideal.

Calm down 

I really want to give this place a five star review- mostly because the staff hired here is amazing.  Alex is so personable and keeps the property very nice and he is very accommodating.  However, when we arrived the owner had no idea which unit we were in and told Alex over the phone to have us hang out with our friend for an hour at her place until they figured it out.  (it is our honeymoon and we booked this room six months in advance, so hanging with our friend in a separate room was really inconsiderate) When I got on the phone with the owner he seemed displeased to have to deal with the situation because he "had to leave a dinner party"  (and I get it- it was Christmas eve...but it was our holiday too)  This is our honeymoon trip and cost it us a good amount of money to stay at this villa so we expected at least a minimal amount of effort from the owner.  He called Alex back within 20 minutes and told him which villa we were staying in, but this initial interaction was not pleasant. 

Three days into our trip the wifi internet stopped working, which was the only way for us to contact friends and family about what we were doing, the holiday, and everything else... I had to have my friend staying at the other villa let the owner know that our internet wasn't working since we had no way of reaching out to anyone without wifi.  He told her he would look into it, but never emailed, called or contacted my husband and I.  For the second half of our time at Frangipani we did not have any wifi/ internet access.

The property is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous and there is wildlife abound.  The beds are incredibly hard and uncomfortable.  The internet is unsecured so if you are checking any bank accounts or personal accounts, this wifi is not safe- if it is even working...  This property is an oasis and should be a five star place, but there are a few things that need to be remedied.  For fifty dollars more my husband and I could have been at the all inclusive resort down the road with meals included and working internet.  And the hostel in town also had working internet and soft beds for a fraction of the price.  The last day we were there the water was turned off.
