Customer service is excellent, the pool, bar, and restaurant all delicious.  Very friendly Breiner and Derrick, delicious breakfast, very nice farm with animals.  We stayed for two nights, we left but we had to return 3 more nights because we felt at home.  Thank you

They treat you like family.

The rooms are bigger than expected but the room was full of bugs. Crawling ants everywhere. Also no hot water?!?! In the evenings a cold shower if fine but the mornings? I thought I was going mad and left the tap running but nothing. Asked other guests and they said the same thing. Also to call that a breakfast is a joke. I would get some cereal bars! 
The only good things are the a/c and bed. 

Not great 

Great place to stay while fishing in the Tempisque rive of the Nicoya Peninsula. The food is great and the pool very relaxing. The rooms are simple but god bless their air conditioned. We visited on November 2 and 3 and it was very hot.

Very nice, quiet hotel

I know hotels always put their best pictures in their ads, but now I know why they didn’t include photos of the bathroom!  It needed a SERIOUS update. I get older furniture and older art, but this bathroom was bad. No counter space, the shower looked dirty, and the sink fixtures had to be from the 50’s.  On the plus side, the pool and restaurant area were great, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and warm.

Not as good as the pictures

We made a reservation, got to the establishment... and it took them 3 trips to 3 individual rooms before they found keys to unlock a door.  That night we realize the A/C wasn't working AND there were no screens on the windows so we couldn't open them.  We ended up in an sweaty steam bath of a room.  AND in the morning we discovered there was no hot water, ergo no showers!  However, the pool area in the back and the bar area were great.
After having to complain at length, the hotel management finally did the right thing and returned our payment... but who wants to go thru an ordeal like this?

Staff were very helpful.
Reception was difficult to find with the landscaping at the entry. It was raining and there was a small sign behind a truck. 
Rooms were large with little or no decoration. Buildings are built in 4-plex design so we listened to our adjacent neighbors until 10:00. Bed quality was very good.
Restaurant menu was bar type food and average at best.

Below average

I enjoyed an excellent week at this beautiful hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious, and the meals were excellent.  The pool was refreshing and clean, especially nice first thing in the morning or last thing in the day.  The poolside, open air restaurant and bar was a perfect spot to relax.This is a central location, about an hour from beautiful beaches and national parks.
