I really enjoyed my stay at Cabinas Ole Caribe, the owners are super nice people and made me feel very welcome as a solo traveler. Only a block from the beach, the lovely gardens and patios tables offer views of jungle right outside your door! You can choose to rent a unit with well-equipped kitchen or not, and the extra amenities like fresh fruit and access to laundry make it a good value. Thank you for your kind hospitality and I hope to return to Playa Cocles soon!

Convenient, clean apartments near the beach

Since my arrival at the place I felt the kindness of the owners, who receive you with a drink. The place is cozy, I stayed in a house equipped with kitchen, air conditioning, wifi, coffee maker, refrigerator, hot water, two queen beds. They give you coffee and tea to make. The place is called Cocles and is very close to the beach, the price is quite low compared to everything they offer.

THE MAIN INGREDIENT: KINDNESS.

Puerto Viejo and its surroundings is a magical place. Go there is always a great moment. I went with a friend to check our properties in the area and decided to stay in this hotel, since they have a promotion for the month of June. The hotel is just "fair", nothing to say wow. The shower of my room was not working properly, the TV set is very small (the owner said they are changing all the TV sets, but I was the lucky one to get a room without a new one), the breakfast (which is included in the rate) is "gallo pinto" (fried rice and beans) with one egg and to many "plátano maduro" (ripe plantain/banana), plus coffee. Breakfast is good enough to spend all morning without getting anymore food, but it lacks the Caribbean flavor. To be honest, I would not go back to this hotel in the future.

Good value for a short stay

We are on vacation in Puerto Viejo with some friends who visit us from Spain, we stayed at the Ole Caribe Cabinas and it was great, the equipped cabins, with air conditioning, very cozy and at very affordable prices, 300 meters from Del Mar and the excellent owners who made us feel at home. 100% recommended.

An unforgettable walk through.

This place has always been very well located, this time it is cleaner and cleaner and the rooms are in charge.The clean rooms have free wifi and a café for the customers.

Thank God for the change of administration.

This place was horrible. After we checked in the hotel man was drinking beer and not helping with a sudden power outage. The beds were lumpy, they had stains, and bugs on them. The shower water was cold and the bathroom was unsanitary. The room was very uninviting and dirty. The only thing I liked was having shelter from rain.

Worst Hotel I've Ever Been To In My Life

I spent a month in this lodging, I have to say that I felt like I was at home, familiar, pleasant, attentive to anything you might need, located three minutes from a huge natural beach. The simple but very clean cabins with everything necessary to have a super pleasant time and every morning with the first lights of the day the monkeys in the trees greet you, infinity of birds, in full nature and perfectly communicated with the nearby beach and with Puerto Viejo. The right price and a place to recommend without any doubt. One of its greatest values and that is worthy of appreciation is the family that regents this establishment, from here I want to send you a hug to Doña Argentina and her daughters who during this time have demonstrated the human quality.

An excellent location, the right price and quality.

Very unclean, they cut the water (other hotels did not have any trouble we checked), electricity fails constantly, animal droppings on the tables (rats?), filthy bathrooms, cockroaches walked everywhere, no one cleaned our room in 3 days. And very expensive, same price than 3 star hotels aroud.
