Such a little gem, these rustic cottages give you just the sweetest spot to enjoy a peaceful end of day. Several small ponds surrounded by a wonderful collection of trees give you such variety of birds right outside your private porch- what a joy to start and end the day. Our hosts were gracious and friendly and offer breakfast and dinner for a small fee. Each cottage has a private bathroom with a hot shower and such a nice place to just enjoy the natural surroundings.

Peaceful Rustic Tico Family Cottages

We're fine. I'll admit that taking this damaged road is scary. But it gets us drunk as soon as we arrive. Little wooden cabin with a common place to live. We were alone and we loved hammock, good meals and breakfast.

Simple but magical.

We spent 2 unforgettable nights in this so peaceful and authentic lodge. The owner took us to visit his organic cocoa plantation, explained his craft passionately while showing us the rich wildlife of the place (lazy, beautiful birds and bats). The small huts, built by Victor's golden hands like the rest of the property, are charming and comfortable, breakfast and dinner (a Casado made with love by Elizabeth) are to fall and Volcán Tenorio National Park with the Celeste River is just 5 minutes away.

A Wonderful Place of Peace

A beautiful place in a cocoa plantation the owner took us to visit the plantation and taste the fruit and see the transformation. The well-equipped cabins the surroundings are quite wild, we could observe the birds and animals who come to drink in the river, we really enjoyed our stay in Rincon verde and we appreciated the sympathy of the owners

Exceptional

A few days here fill you with positive energy. a few minutes from the Rio Celeste nestled in the park of the volcano Tenorio gives the opportunity to relax and enjoy what nature offers you. Victor and his family kind and lovable people. in essence a small corner of paradise. Definitely recommended experience ----- spectacular place..who knows what was there before what he achieved today Victor remains illicit.. nature and serenity breathe in every inch of the location.

The Paradise

The bungalows are well equipped. Light should be avoided in the evenings, as insects of many families use the gaps and cracks in the floor and ceiling to get inside the house. The owners maintain some breeding caves for tilapia right next to the accommodation, which can be eaten on order for dinner.

Stony approach - calm and solid

You need a car to get here! And a 4WD for sure! Need better light to read by - bring a flash light.

Victor and Elizabeth were tremendous. Ricon Verde is remote and out of the way but has lots of tranquility. There place is a Cacao farm - delicious chocolate bars! Plain simple delicious meals. So many birds and a resident sloth. Three days was a bit long, two would have been perfect. Do not miss Rio Celeste waterfalls and park. Even in the rain it was spectacular.
