This was my first trip to Costa Rica and didn't know what to expect. I was greeted at the air[ort by Miguel, one of the drivers from the facility and he immediately put me at ease, he was so informative, kind and helpful.  When we arrived we were greeted by Muni, who gave us exotic drinks and one of the warmest welcomes I have ever received.  She handled all of my arrangement throughout my stay and left no detail to chance.  The dinner at the resort was amazing!!and so was the omelet station at breakfast the next day.  The rooms and grounds are immaculate, the staff was friendly and willing to  help in any way.  I met the owners Carlos and Jonle who treated me like family.  It was an amazing stay!!!

Casas del Toro, Flamingo

These apartments are associated with a Spanish immersion school located a couple of minutes atbthe bottom of the hill and around the corner. The uphill wlevayed setting affordss a  magnificent view, including of the Bay of Nicoya off,the Pacific Ocean. The apartments have a fridge, living room, and comfortable bedroom. The garden is well.landscaoed and quite beautiful. There is enough parking space for two cars. A washer and dryer can be found in the laundry room. The staff at the school can help with your bookings and are friendly and knowledgeable. The road uphill is rough on cars, but it is,mercifully a short if slow two minute drive from bottom to past the entry gate. Check out is self executed by leaving the key in a drop hole at the entrance. Ideal if you have a car and re looking for,something other than the backpacker hotels on town. Finally, there is a great view of the sunset on the walkway by the cliff overlooking the valley where locals and tourists gather at dusk for a great show.

Roomy and comfortable

You need a car to get around or spend time walking into town and around. There is a full kitchen and laundry room. The tours will pick you up and you are close to some nice eating places down the hill or up at the luxe hotel on the hill.

Convience and comfort

I can’t say enough good about this stay - it was the respite in the middle of our ten day trip where we could spread out and feel at home. Well equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms 2 baths and laundry right around the corner. Secure parking behind a gate, ping pong and foosball in common areas and friendly staff. My only minor complaint was that the water didn’t get very hot. I was worried to not have air conditioning but it wasn’t necessary at night. Rough roads getting to Monteverde but our favorite stop on our trip.

2 bedroom villa perfect for big families!

We stayed here with our two kids (10 & 12) and it was perfect for a stay of three days or more. Each apartment has a kitchen with as fridge, stove, dishes, and a little coffee, sugar, oil, etc to get you started. The entire place is super clean and very secure. There is secure parking and gorgeous gardens, including a little field to kick a ball around in. Note that you need to check in during business hours at the CPI Language School just down the street first.
