The hotel was sensational, the service was very good, the location was very good, they allowed us to enter much earlier than expected and it is something that we value, it has an ice dispenser which was phenomenal, in addition to a drinking water dispenser that gives you a great value to the hotel. Everything was in good repair and looked very nice. Comfortable quite a good stay. 

Wanted to get on the road and was just going to have some cereal weight staff cordial. Patient presented that options for a traditional Costa Rican hot meal. Also, I would not have tried the instant coffee machine without his urging delicious.

Included breakfast service, the best

This is a quaint hotel right at the tip of Santa Teresa. The room was just right for our family of three with a cute balcony.  You can easily walk down to the beach and there are several places to eat nearby. One of the pros is the staff. Luis at the front desk always had a smile on his face and available to assist. Josue for breakfast was personable. I did not catch the names of a couple of other staff, the evening and another morning staff, both helpful and friendly. Another pro is the hotels housekeeping staff. If you don’t have a great housekeeping crew you don’t have a great hotel! Our room upon check in was immaculate and had more then enough towels and amenities for us. The stay over clean was amazing. I have not only worked in hotels, but stayed in many on all levels and this place definitely knows how to clean. Plus all the staff we encountered were friendly. The pool is super cute and we enjoyed it each day of our stay. Breakfast is cooked to order and was delicious. Some things to take into account: you are in Costa Rica where there are bugs, infrastructure issues, and things don’t always work how you think they should! Remember it’s not the front desk persons fault if the water gets shut off or the power goes out. For the price and location this hotel is a gem.

Quaint hotel in Santa Teresa

Great location, room great. Breakfast simple. Close to beach and restaurants. The pool perfect. The service and attention of the staff was good. They refurnished the hotel in November 2023. It is a hotel boutique. The pillows was good. Travel with family and our dog.

Clean rooms, newly renovated. All staff very helpful and friendly. Really made us comfortable. The manager, Warren and staff member David were very helpful. Highly appreciate their customer service. If we are in this area again we will for sure come back to this hotel.

We just spent a glorious 3 weeks at Hotel Santa Teresa. From start to finish, the hospitality was superb. The staff was attentive and polite and eager to please. Toto in reception went above and beyond to welcome us and make our stay enjoyable. He also was helpful in planning our travels in CR as we explore more. Josue’ served us a beautiful included breakfast each morning which included eggs to order, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, a variety of cereals and breads, and alway a friendly smile. You could eat any time 6-9:30. 
The rooms are large and cleaned daily with fresh linens if requested. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Warren the manager greeted us by name every time he saw us. 
The location is central to many nice restaurants and the beach. Sunsets are unsurpassed. Each day, we declared it to be the best ever. 
The pool is clean and quiet and we often had it to ourselves. It was a refreshing temperature with a soaking area and lounge chairs to dry off on. Iguanas walked through frequently, which we found charming. 
This is a small hotel and is not for people looking for a resort spa, but it was perfect for us. We are in our 60’s and recently retired, and found that we were among the oldest visitors to Santa Teresa and it was wonderful. We spent a relaxing three weeks just “chilling” here and we will be back.

Simply the Best.

Toto, Josue and all their colleagues are all so kind and considerate. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with private deck views of the ocean beach on the second and third floors through palm trees about 150 yards away.  With a fridge, ice machine, fresh water, in-room coffee maker, hot showers in the roomy well-appointed private bathroom, cooked to order excellent breakfasts included with the room rate and a very nice pool, this is among the top 10 hotels we’ve enjoyed. We’re in our earlier 60’s and have done our share of traveling, including many resorts. We prefer a more local feel than the big chains offer. The Hotel Santa Teresa exceeded our standards at every turn. The hotel is located at the south end of the town, which sits adjacent to miles of incredible beach that is easily swim able, and draws surfers like mad.  There are several ocean front bar & grills within a 30 minute walk on the beach (highly recommend the morning and sunset strolls), including El Carmen, which is about 100 yards from the hotel and offers a 10% discount to people staying at the Hotel Santa Teresa.  It’s a great spot. There’s a large supermarket about a 5 minute walk away along the main road, a laundry and ATM about a 2 minute walk away and plenty of restaurants within a 15 minute walk. We didn’t rent a car so we greatly appreciated how well located the hotel is.  The only downside is getting here from the airports. That’s about a 5 hour journey, but well worth it. Pura vida.

We broke the record with a three week stay here and truly enjoyed the hospitality and amenities.

The hotel is a short stroll to a beautiful beach with lovely waves, bars and restaurants. Jobbies Longboards is a great place to rent gear. 

The hotel is changing management and my experience was absolutely fantastic. Really nice location and comfortable rooms.

Excellent location

This is the best stay you can have in Santa Teresa. Friendly staf in reception, cleaning staff and breakfast fixers. They all care and help out. Great rooms with aircon . Sereene and easy going all through. Close to center and beach. Make reservation now.

Best stay

This was one of the best stays you can ever have. We stayed here for one week and enjoyed every second. Friendly atmosphere and greetings from guys working in reception and from everyone working in the house, all the way through. Nice little hotel with good sized rooms, great breakfast and nice pool inside the ground. Easy access to rest of town and extremely close to the beach. Clean, fresh and serene.
