We did the white water rafting whist staying at the tent camp. Absolutely loved it and Steve was a brilliant guide, big shout to him because the guides really can make or break an experience.  We were offered a similar trip in La Fortuna but really glad we waited until we actually got to Sarapiqui rather than a super long round trip. I’m ready for a class 4 (maybe, haha)

We went on Class 4 rapids, just us 2 and the guide and photographer in a separate canoe.
It was a will ride and excellent, we both loved the many raids we went down and they weren't that scary considering we are in our late 40s and not rafted for a long time.
We stopped off half way down for some delicious pineapple and a swim, even a jump of a ledge which was probably more scary  than the rafting!!

All in all great experience, very serene when just floating down the river and enjoying the silence.
The Hacienda was well equpted with a nice food in their restaurant.
There were female and males hanging rooms with lockers for your goods and showers to freshen up after the rafting.

Pura Vida all the way!!

We went for a horseback tour. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and the animals seemed very well taken care of!

I can’t speak for the hotel or other activities, but from the little bit we saw, they all looked nice with a wide variety of options

Lovely horseback tour

We had a full on day at the hacienda Pozo Azul doing - for the first time - zip wiring (above the rainforest and across the river) , rappelling , and after a lovely lunch a two hour horse riding hack. 
The team looking after us was fantastic, very professional and welcoming, with good sense of humour. 

We are horse riders in the UK and one has to bear in mind that riding here is quite different, with a different approach to horses. This is of course adapted to tourists. 

We do highly  recommend this place.

Great experience

Stayed here as part of a G Adventures tour and loved every minute. Our dedicated guide, Carlos, was wonderful. We had an excellent night tour and early morning bird watching walk with him. The jungle tent accommodation far surpassed expectations - was really worried about bugs and spiders but needn't have worried. I've been white water rafting around the world and this was by far one of the most fun of them all.

I took students here to zip-line and white-water raft.  The staff was very professional and kept our safety in mind.  The kids had a great time!  I would recommend this location to family and friends who are looking to have a similar adventure. 

Great experience!

We Zip lined here and LOVED it! It was a large group of us but it was really quick getting us all through and on the lines. There were so many different lines to do and it ended with the best one going across the river to the finish. You can hear the monkeys as you zip through the forest.

White water rafting was amazing our guide Kevin was the best, it was quite a workout but a lot of fun. Zip lining was also a great time one of the guides even took the time to stop and take a picture of a tarantula hiding in its hole for me. It was an amazing experience.

Rafting 

We stayed one night in the tents and we had a wonderful night. It is very relaxing when you can listen to all nature sounds for birds, animals,  water etc. The tents are cleaned and comfortable, that night we had rain and our tent kept us dry. The breakfast was delicious, the only thing that we did not like was the road that takes you to the tents, it is unpaved so it was a rocky and bumpy ride.

Wonderful Outdoor Experience

We had a fun stay here.. ‘tents’ were damp & bugs in the room, but it’s the rain forest so you gotta expect that! No hot water. Staff were very friendly & saw lots of birds & frogs on the trails. White water rafting was lots of fun. Meals were included & nice & we had an empanada making lesson which was fun. You’ll need a head torch as they have frequent power cuts. Worth a stay!
