The upscale condos are spacious, well appointed and centrally located. Close to shops, beach and restaurants.  Lots to do and see.
The people are friendly, helpful and well informed and can answer most questions.
Only drawback is the roads...hard to navigate as only one way in and out and the roads are quite rutty, full of potholes and you have to really pay attention!
Also, make sure to ask if any construction is planned.  The condo above us and around the units were getting the iron railings replaced.  Days of Jack hammering and noise.

Beautiful and on the beach!

Stayed in the penthouse apartment.  Upscale over the top amenities.. Private beach.  Fully exceeded expectations.  Owner was welcoming enjoyed the beachy motif inside.  From the minute I walked in five star feel!  Highly recommend.  Heaven on earth!

Amazing slice of heaven!

Overall, the vacation was fantastic! The condo was spacious, had spectaculer views of the ocean, and nice décor, but one of the couches was stained. Easy access to town, and security was great. Lots of activities, and good food to find. There was trouble with the ice maker getting clogged, which caused the ice to fall on the floor when you opened the door, could not get into the storage area for beach chairs with the combination lock (had to call management 2x) and shower did not drain in one of the bedrooms, water would poole around your feet. Management was called but no one showed up, and I had to call the next day again. Again, besides the little hiccups, this place is fantastic!

Penthouse Condo

This is by far the best place we have been in Costa Rica. We stayed in unit 504 (Penthouse Arena Blanca) and loved it. The penthouse is 1.5 stories with 2 huge balcones, one on each floor. Million dollar views. So spacious and well equipped. Loved to have our own BBQ and beach chairs. We are already planning our next stay.

The best of Tamarindo

6 member of my family just spent 8 days in unit 202.  The condo was more than large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably.  This unit is decorated very well, with new, tasteful furniture throughout, and and comfortable beds in each room.  If you don't mind burning a few calories, then Tamarindo is an easy 10 minute walk.  It's much easier though to rent a golf cart.  There's a company owned by a family that lives in Crystal Sands and they couldn't have made this process easier.  The views from this building are unparalleled because this building is on of only a few that were granted exemptions to build on the beach.

Upscale Privately owned resort - You will NOT regret staying here.

Crystal Sands is an upscale, private and secure condominium complex right on the beach in Playa Longosta, a very short (less than 5 min) drive or moderate walk from the stores and restaurants in Tamarindo. We stayed 4 nights in unit 203, a 3 bedroom 3 bath well appointed and modern condo within steps of the water. The complex is gated with a full time security guard, has a very nice pool and offers spectacular sunsets over the water. The beach out front is beautiful and makes for excellent exploring and beach combing, especially at low tide, with all of the volcanic rock and many tide pools. If you are looking for a sandy beach on which to surf, boogie board or for smaller children the beach out front is probably not the best but there is a great beach for these purposes nearby in Tamarindo. We highly recommend the Crystal Sands and look forward to staying here again! 

Loved Our Stay at Crystal Sands

My family spent a week here and absolutely loved everything about the unit, including the seclusion and privacy. Only a short walk (10-15 minutes) to town, you are close enough to everything, but just far enough await to feel more at home with the beauty of Costa Rica. The point where these units are at is rough rock and rock surf (not a swimming beach). You can walk to the beach that is perfect for swimming and surfing within 10 minutes in Tamarindo). The whole family loved it, and the unit was spacious and clean, with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean.
