This lodge is nestled in a valley between Mountain ranges and the view is spectacular!  It is a welcoming lodge - Christine is the owner and manager and she has a wide smile and LOTS of local knowledge!  She also seemed to speak 4-5 languages to everyone who stayed!   Christine advised us on the Float RCR tour - and an amazing Chocolate/coffee tour.   The birds are everywhere!    The food in the restaurant - breakfast and dinner is excellent - and there is a sweet town Bijagua with a tilapia farm worth visiting/eating!  
No air conditioning but we did not need it with the fan and screened windows!   Cooled off at night!  Beds are hard but jacuzzis are warm and bubbling!   
About 1 hour from Liberia and you are IN the Real Costa Rica!

Comfortable rooms, gorgeous grounds and indoor and outdoor dining area, excellent breakfast included, delightful on-site French owner/manager. Our gorgeous unit...#9...was in the farthest back row of units, each with the most privacy and stunning open larege picture window views of the forest. My wife and I highly recommend the entire property, and especially staying in that last row of units. 

Gorgeous Property, Delightful Experience.

This place is magical,  you can be so close to nature... it has beautiful gardens and lots of birds and other animals... but primarily birds.  All the grounds are wheelchair accessible.   Breakfast is delicious and hotel's owner Cristine is absolutely delightful to talk to.  
The room is big and comfortable and neat!, there is a lot of privacy even on the terrace,  there is nature everywhere,  plenty of hot water too.... 
Hotel has one restaurant, but if you want some local cuisine there are plenty of options (most have delivery to hotel)  which you can ask at the reception. 
There are two Jacuzzis which are a pleasure after a long walk/ hike and the amazing gardens, provide a lot of privacy everywhere. There are trails to walk within the property too!
Definitely a place to relax,  we will come back again!

Bird watching is easier here than on the National park!

We had a great stay here, on our trip around Costa Rica. Tenorio was somewhere which didnt seem to be on many people's hit list, but which we'd highly recommend, due to the views, access to nature trails, access to the waterfalls etc.
The lodge itself was lovely - had amazing nature in the grounds with monkeys, toucans, hundreds of species of birds, racoons among other animals visiting daily.
The food was very nice, and generally it was a great place to visit.

Great place with an amazing Host . We have stayed in 2 chalets (for 2 couples) in a very relaxing place . We had  great breakfast in the morning surrounded by the birds and nice dinner at night . Our French host , madame Cristina took care about everything . Ideal place for couples .

The lodge  offers massage and open air jacuzzi. It is also a good option for the ones that want to visit the facilities/ attractions of Hacienda Guachipelin .

Nice lodge near the Tenorio Volcano

Beautiful property filled with birds and wildlife.  The owners, Christine and Frank, are extremely passionate about nature and it truly shows.  They have built an absolute gem from the spacious rooms stunning views to the delicious home made food, this place has it all, we will definitely be back!

Faboulous hidden gem. We loved our stay. The accomadations, food and surroundings was all that we hoped and more. The owner was super nice and made us feel so at home.  Seeing the birds and wildlife each morning was extra special. We cannot wait to return.

very impressed with how she had configured the lodges and the walkways on the property.

The lodges themeselves are pleasantly large with huge windows and a balcony so you can view and "sit in" the countryside.

Christine was an excellent host...always helpful, pays attention to detail, and care deeply about the hotel, forest, and animals. 

Serene location in the forest with a resident sloth living in the trees. We'd definitely stay here again!

Relaxing stay at Tenorio Lodge

clean, light and airy, spacious bungalows. We ate at the restaurant (having booked when checking in) and the food was delicious (& very reasonably priced); they also catered for our allergies and the children’s requirements. The owners were very friendly and helpful.  The sloth in the tree by reception was a bonus, as were the numerous humming birds. We did a chocolate tour to the Tree chocolate plantation which was fantastic for adults and children alike.
