This was my 4th time staying @ Casa Del Leon. We tried out a couple other places in the area for a couple nights at a time, but nothing compares to the convenience, amenities, good food, and hospitality we get from Casa Del Leon. You're just about 5 mins. from a couple of beautiful national park beaches!  The rooms are spacious and all have a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, TV with cable, wifi. and air conditioner.  Pizza Time restaurant is only a few steps from the guests rooms. The authentic Italian pizza is absolutely delicious! And the calzones are so awesome, when I split one with my husband he only got about 1/3 'cause I couldn't stop eating it!  Everything is neat and clean including the pool.  And there's nothing better than a refreshing dip at any time of day!  I recommend staying there any time you're in the area.  You'll be glad you did!  Pura Vida!!!

Right at home

Just came back home from my trip to Costa Rica. Staying in Uvita was a great decision but even better was my decision to stay at Casa De Leon Cabinas. If you are looking for real Costa Rica vibes I recommend staying here. It is located in a great area within a few minutes drive from all tourist activities. What I liked about staying here is how non-touristy it felt. Staying here I felt like I was experiencing Costa Rica like a tico. The owner of Casa De Leon Cabinas was very nice and helped us decide what was the best local activities to do such as ATV riding, water rafting, hiking trails to waterfalls, caves, and the best local beaches. The cabina was very clean and comfortable, I highly recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit Costa Rica south of San Jose.

This is a great spot to sit back and enjoy Uvita.  The rooms are very spacious with air conditioner and WIFI.  The pool is great to relax in and the staff are always available and friendly.  We would highly recommend this place to anyone and the price is affordable.

A quiet retreat!

We've been here for five days, the room is big and comfortable, with an essential kitchen corner (no ovens) but useful, especially the refrigerator and microwave oven there's a pool, small but nice and clean, it's a pizza place where you eat a good pizza.

Excellent and comfortable cabins

A fantastic cheerful welcome by Avi and his lovely dog Sky. Don't be fooled by the size of Sky, she's so sweet and shy :-)
Avi is a fantastic helpful person whose only goal is to make your stay as agreeable as possible and give you the best tips so you choose the best solutions for those who wish to go for a whale tour by example.
Besides, his knowledge of the area is a huge asset.
Each room is equipped with nice large and comfortable beds, a fridge, a coffee machine, microwave oven, toaster along with a sink, plates, mugs and glasses and everything you could need if you choose to cook yourself something as Avi has even thought of it: there's a kitchen on the patio along with a BBQ!
The clean swimming pool will allow you to rest after a long trail along the Baleinas beach which is very close to Avi's place.
A local food restaurant is just across Avi's place with cheap prices and a Chinese one is close too (which we did not try, though)
Only five minutes walking and you have access to a supermarket where you'll find everything you need to fill your bedroom fridge.
The only negative point is that we were not able to stay longer there and benefit Avi's place, as we had to move to another part of Costa Rica.
Peaceful and quiet place. Ideal to visit Uvita and rest at the same time.
By the way: for those who would like to try surfing, Avi also gives surf lessons.

The place to stay when going to UVITA

The Cabinas Casa del Leon is one of the best places I have stayed at in Costa Rica for the level of accommodation. Rooms are new, very spacious and clean. Every single one of them is air-conditioned. The maid comes everyday and all the towels and bed linen is changed daily which is very difficult to come across in Costa Rica. Bathrooms are deserved to be mentioned on their own - very modern, sizable, with a great water pressure and hot water both in the shower and in the sink (which is also very rare for the similar level accomodations). 
Every room has a kitchenett with a microwave, coffee machine and fridge. 
Can't forget to mention the great comfortable patio where we spent every evening enjoying a cup of tea and conversation. 
Oh yeah! And of course a swimming  pool which we found to be the cleanest one in the entire country! 
Avi, the owner, is a lovely guy who is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the area.
If you come by car the location is very convinient to visit all of the attractions in the area (some beaches are only 5 mins drive away, Sierpe 1 hour drive, Uvita 10 mins drive, Dominical 25 mins drive away).We really recommend to check out the tour to Corcovado national park and try one of the rafting trips and definetely try to take some surfing classes that can also be provided by the owner of the place.
Would return here in a heart-beat.

Beautiful place, good quality-price ratio and friendly and very helpful owner

We were there a few days ago and the truth is that we were delighted.The place is 200m from the Bay of Biscay, so you can get there in 5 minutes.Nearby you have 2 pretty decent restaurants.The cabins are new, perfect, with a very quiet atmosphere.We were virtually alone and in the pool we didn't match anyone.The owner is very friendly and friendly, in love with surfing.

A very quiet and cozy place.

Of all the hotels we have made during our various trips around the world, this hotel was by far the worst in terms of beds: unroasted summer milk, synthetic foam mattresses that are very quickly immersed in: needless to say, sleep was very difficult to find and the morning was painful (especially for the back).

That's a shameful lie.

Clean cabins, large and quite comfortable, but not luxurious. Good quality/price ratio for the area. We were in Christmas 2016 and found it the quiet and pleasant place, quite close to supermarkets and restaurants, but it is necessary to have a car. The cabins are separated from each other for better sound insulation. My only remark is that the mattresses are made of rubber-foam with a plastic and give quite a warm background.
