The room itself was lovely, decent amount of space and the bathroom and balcony were lovely. Good air-con in the room as well which was definitely needed! After our first night the staff changed our towels, made the bed and folded our clothes. On the second day however we slept in quite late (my partner had a migraine the previous night and so had not slept well) and the staff burst into our room while we were sleeping without even knocking! From then on they didn't even change our towels - we barely saw any staff members through the whole stay. Also the walls were quite thin - you could hear drilling, babies crying, flushing toilets, showers and even people talking. So overall, a decent and good value for money stay, but with its downsides.

Pretty average

This place is right on the Main Street with traffic noise. It says that it is an apartment with kitchen but there was no kitchen. Also, there was supposed to be someone to check us in until midnight, but when we arrived at 11:00pm, we had to contact the owner and wait for over an hour until someone was able to check us in. 

Don’t stay there

Our flight was delayed so I called to say we would arrive late. The chap had broken English and told us that he'd just leave the door unlocked to go to room 3. 

There is no one on site. It was late, the road sign wasn't lit, it was hard to find, but it was obvious that room three was occupied. We slipped into another room and went to sleep thinking it was odd that there was no note, nothing to help us to find our way. The road noise is quite pronounced, the beds are comfortable, but there is no sense of hospitality what so ever. 

We had lost luggage and the fellow at the restaurant supply store took more sympathy than the woman who worked for the hotel. She would not only not help us she would not point us to someone who would. She was rude and unhelpful with zero empathy for our situation. There was no one there to accept the bags and no phone nearby. She admitted she had never traveled anywhere in her life and although she was wearing a gold cross she had no understanding of the Golden Rule.

The place is clean and basic but there is zero hospitality and not as much as soap in the bathroom. There is an electric kettle but not as much as a tea bag. 

The window coverings were old and the noise from the road prevented good sleep. 

We met some other travelers from Scandinavia who were there and they were trying cope with the lack of any interaction with any staff and were surprised how well rated the place was. It was a little as if this place was the owners ATM and helping anyone was not in their job description. Strange they survive.

There is little around here in the way of restaurants. There is a small grocery store within walking distance but no way to cook anything in the apartment. Nowhere to get breakfast, or even a cup of coffee nearby. When we asked about a place to have breakfast we were greeted with a look as if no one had ever asked such a question.

We have traveled the world and this was some of the worst treatment in a jam we have ever had. A nice woman in another business helped us to regain our luggage with pure kindness but we had to go back to the airport since there was no one at the accommodation to accept a delivery of luggage.

Avoid: No hospitality here

Having had this lovely hotel as a last minute replacement booking, we were unsure what to expect and whether the location isn't too far out of the new town, we needn't worry. The quite location near a river and well presented marina with all its facilities, coupled with great views all around, few good restaurants and supermarkets short walk away, made our short stay unexpectedly good, giving us another perspective of what is out of the busy old and new towns, both of which are just 15 min away by bus. The apartment is very well presented, good size bedroom, good storage, fridge, balconies / private and communal/, very helpful staff /note reception is not open 24h/. Would recommend for your stay in Dubrovnik and would stay again on my next visit.

Good base for your stay in Dubrovnik

we were here for a week and it is excellent close to marina and a bus stop to Dubrovnik the apartments are lovely and clean and area around the block of apartments is very clean. restaurants are a few minutes walk away and are really nice the one with the waterfall is in my opinion over rated and expensive and food very salty...overall owners of this block are really nice very helpful.  { sending over chocolate for them.}
