Our host, Miro, was superb throughout our stay. The setting is lovely, a secluded garden metres from the harbour & swimming area really close to the bars & restaurants that line the quayside. It isn’t noisy, just calm, sedate & genuinely relaxed in Cavtat, it isn’t possible to be more relaxed than Villa Filipa under Miro’s stewardship, a gem of a place run by an absolute gentleman.

Delightful place

Miro welcomed us with a homemade orange liquor and fresh cumquats, and we sat on his front porch and chatted for a bit. His property is in an excellent location close to the water but on a quiet street. The yard is absolutely beautiful. Room is simple and comfortable, with a great view of the water. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come again - we wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you, Miro, for your warm hospitality!

Lovely room in Cavtat!

Thankyou so much Miro for yet another perfect holiday at Villa Filipa. The minute the car turns the bend and we see Cavtat laid out beneath us we know we are ‘home’ and can’t wait to be back in the tranquil haven that is Villa Filipa. Such a beautiful, peaceful setting - with everything you could want for a relaxing time literally a stones throw away. Already counting off the days until we are back again!

Tranquil Beauty

Another stay at Villa Filipa. Another streamlined non intrusive visit.  Fabulous location and environs in this beautifully restored old villa.  Congratulations again to owners who ensured maximum comfort and gave great advice and care.

Superb

I stayed at Villa Filipa for 24 nights over August and September 2020 and enjoyed all styles of accommodation that Villa Filipa has to offer.  The Villa is situated metres from the waterfront and in the centre of the old town.
The villa and its grounds (beautifully maintained Venetian gardens, chapel, cellar) are inspiring.  The rooms were well maintained, clean and offered all modern facilities and equipment that you might wish for.  The views over the bay and the Church of Our Lady of the Snows are stunning.
Especial thanks to the fabulous host, Miro, who was non intrusive but anticipated all your needs.  A wise and charming man who engaged in interesting conversation from time to time whether concerning the history of Cavtat and its surrounds or of a more philosophical persuasion.  Miro's kindness and generosity made Villa Filipa a wonderful experience for me with offers of wine, liqueur and olives.
This Villa is highly recommended and I hope to return one day to the beautiful village of Cavtat and stay at Villa Filipa.

Wonderful experience

Villa Filipa never fails to please! As ever it truly is a first class place. Miro is his usual welcoming, friendly and helpful self - and his wine is amazing! The apartment was perfect as always - with the courtyard still a tranquil haven of delight. It all made for yet another excellent holiday in our home from home. Absolutely wonderful! Already counting down the days to next years visit!

Would highly recommend Villa Filipa. The host Miro was charming and extremely helpful. His home-made orange liqueur was really lovely! 
Ideally situated near the seafront and all the amenities. Can’t praise it enough and look forward to returning there very soon.

Beautiful apartment in wonderful old building

We got a tiny bit lost trying to find it and had already gone past it, it was so close to the main drag. The property is beautiful - 600 years old. It has everything you could need and if you can think of something else, ask the owner Miro and I am pretty sure he will find it for you. 
He is one of the loveliest people we have ever met. His only concern is that you enjoy yourselves. His home-made orange liqueur was amazing as was his home-made red wine. He even felt bad when it rained on our last two days. Cavtat is beautiful and Villa Fillipa is the perfect place to stay.

We visited Croatia for 2 weeks and stayed at the villa filipa which is in a prime location just 50m from the beautiful Adriatic sea. The villa was well furnished with comfortable rooms , air conditioning and a kettle satellite tv and fridge etc.There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom.
The kitchen which is communal is well stocked with kettles and toasters all pots and pans and cutelry chopping boards and a small gas hob cooker.
The owner Miro greater us upon arrival and gave us a glass of red wine and also put a bottle in our room the next day. All in all a very small and pleasant villa set in beautiful gardens near to the harbour and restaurants. Perfect for a relaxing stay.
There is a church near by with bells that ring every morning around 7 am but it didn't bother us.
