We've been literally cheated. Don't trust the photos and services described. The sauna is gone, the hot tub doesn't work, and they changed the room from the one we booked without even warning us. The rooms are literally crap! We had to adapt to not go looking for another hotel, but I was going to change initially. They call junior suites a refugee room.

To be Avoided

Overall the hotel is quiet, the pool is well maintained and there is the possibility of making breakfast in the garden. Unfortunately breakfast, on four mornings was always the same and with little choice, a little salt and always the same three sweet things, literally 3! A little scarce and disappointing in sum. The gym is not like a photo; it is practically an open room in the garden with a machine bench that does not work, a manoeuvre along with the lawnmower and other, so unusable.

Discreet, without much expectation.

The St. Benedict's is a very old, very renovated hotel. We had a junior room, but the sofa was never quite suitable as a place to sleep. The bathroom is a mini-show. Breakfast buffet was fine. In the village of Dajla there was absolutely nothing going on. Only those looking for rest should stay here for a longer stay, not to recommend. You sit quietly in the beautiful garden or pool, but oddly enough, nobody had been in the hotel room at night. The nice host tables sat there alone and waited. Whether in the surrounding restaurants the prices were very low three or the guests preferred to drive behind the water to the nearest town, I don't know.

Pool area is very nice. View to the sea.  The room we didn't like a lot.Breakfast is ok. 150 from the beach. Nice and gentle owner. We spend 5 nights at the hotel with our two kids. Clean and nice all over the hotel. I was running every morning belong the beach on dirt roads and that I liked, but to do early ind the morning cause ignite its to warm in August!!!


Pool area nice

The right place for those who are looking for peace from the stress of everyday work in a pleasant atmosphere (own couples are very nice and friendly people) is in a small hotel. At the breakfast buffet there is something for everyone (very large selection). Paradise is the garden of the hotel where you should definitely enjoy breakfast. We were guests at this hotel for the first time in mid-June 2015 and will definitely visit it again next year.

Pure recovery from the stress of everyday life into a pleasant atmosphere!

We enjoyed a short stay at Sv Benedikt at the tail end of the summer season but were still able to enjoy  continental breakfasts  in the sunlit garden. Ever helpful owner Neda cooked super evening meals for ourselves and ex-pat friends who had joined us for a couple of days. Having originally booked a room with balcony & sea view ,we were given a room with wonderful sea view from the adjoining loggia at no extra cost! 

It is a lovely, quiet location but in easy reach of Novigrad.  Although late September, we swam in the clear sea just a few metres from the hotel.

Quiet location,excellent evening meals,nice atmosphere

This hotel is a real shame. First of all, I don't understand those who give 3 or even 4 points to this place: completely deserved... If there was a chance to give negative points I would give -5 points... Then: old, stinking hotel, with terrible furniture, crinkling and horrible... For the cheerful figure of 320€ in three nights for two nights, I had to sleep on a sofa bed probably bought at the pawnshop: an obscure thing... For that figure I would expect ALMENO a bed.

What a shame.

A price of 100€ per night in September on this location is way too high. Dajla is not exactly the place to be in Istria. Inside, the hotel and it's rooms make a somewhat dull impression due to the the unpleasant and low lighting. The garden is nice, but can;t yet justify the high price.
It's peculiar that booking.com said there was only 1 room left available in this hotel, whereas it later appeared to be almost fully vacant. To some extent we felt abused by this message.

OVERRATED

Nice hotel and well placed in relation to the sea. Small swimming pool, but great for a relaxing afternoon. Nice also the garden, where you could eat breakfast in the morning. Too bad the gym and the spa were out of use. Rooms are quite comfortable and clean, but above all the sea view from the terrace is beautiful. Gentle and available owners.

Restored would be perfect.

By chance we landed at the Hotel Saint Benedict and were very enthusiastic. The room was very clean and quiet. Although the main road passes by it, you can sleep peacefully as you keep the windows closed due to the air conditioning. In the garden you can relax superbly, as most guests go to the sea. The sea is easily accessible, the road can be crossed safely on the zebra strip. The water was clear and no sea eagle. Bath shoes are recommended, but you can walk better over the rocks. The food was excellent and always very fresh - many food items are made by the host or their family respectively. The breakfast was very rich and it was available for every family. We were sure to get to the park quickly and enjoyed spending time with the guests, but we were sure to get out and talk to them for a while, and the machines were ready to come and talk to us, so that we were able to quickly and quickly and open up the park for several hours.
