Thank you Ljubo and Ana for a wonderful stay. They were very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is so close to Plitvice entrance 1, within 10 minutes walk. The breakfast served by Ana was amazing with her home baked bread and cakes. We went to the lakes very early so Ana packed us a couple of cakes as well. They were delightful.

I wish our itinerary had allowed more than one night at Guesthouse Ljubo & Ana near Plitvice National Park. The lodging was absolutely spotless in every corner, and the studio apartment we rented was very nice and spacious. It had a wonderful kitchenette with everything you would need to stay even as long as a week! Furnishings were nice. There was a nice little balcony with farm views. The park entrance seemed to be approximately a half mile away, and it would be an easy walk. Due to cold rainy weather that morning, we opted to park at the entrance parking and pay the fee, but you could keep your car at the lodging and walk to the park if you preferred. Ana met us upon our late, rainy night arrival and showed us to our room. She will prepare breakfast for your morning if you do not have such an early National Park admission time as we did. We were sorry to miss the breakfast. This is a great place to stay.

Cozy and Spacious Lodging Near Plitvice National Park

Lovely alpine style chalet in peaceful relaxing setting just 10 minutes walk from entrance 1 of plitvice waterfalls.
We had an upstairs studio with kitchenette and balcony - very clean and comfortable. Ana served us a generous shot of the local spirit on arrival, and the breakfast was all local produce and home baked bread and cakes.

Warm welcome

We spent one (1) evening here during our month long tour of Croatia, staying the night before visiting Pitvice Lakes National Park the next morning. The apartment was located on the ground floor and it was immaculate.  Parking was available on site and the building is very close to entrance 1 of the park.  

Our hosts live in the same complex and warmly welcomed us, offering something to drink.  They were friendly and available but not obtrusive in any way.

The kitchen was well equipped but we did not cook any meals here, we did, however, use the fridge to keep or wine and beer cold. The bathroom was equipped with a washing machine and there was a small terrace at the front as one enters the apartment.  The apartment’s decoration is somewhat dated but it all works and is very homey.  Everything was so charming and neat.

We had a very restful sleep, it was so peaceful and quiet, and it gets really dark in the evenings.

Breakfast was an additional charge.  We requested a breakfast as we wanted to arrive at the park when it opened.  Our hostess put on quite the spread including fruit, cheese, an omelet, breads, juices, yogurt, homemade cookies and the best coffee.  It was served in the sunroom.

The surrounding grounds are well tended and we really enjoyed or stay.  Wish we could have stayed longer.  You can leave your car and walk to the entrance of the park, it is about a 10 minute walk.  We chose to drive.


Great Choice

This is a really lovely place; nice rooms and great location! Hosts Ljubo & Ana are amazing and welcoming! Breakfast is tasty. Very convenient choice when visiting the park. Also, the village is peaceful and pretty. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!

· Very comfortable and homey. Really loved the blue tones of the room. Well decorated studio room with balcony, that's super clean and equipped with heating and hot shower that's instantly heated. Didn't need to do shower in super quick speed like in other places. What a blessing after a long walk in the park. The breakfast came with a cold cut platter and a boiled egg. Coffee, milk, yogurt, bread, muesli, fruit, biscuit, extra bread were on the buffet table. Ana was very friendly, so is the housekeeping lady. Thanks to her who prepared our room which was ready even when we arrived at 9 in the morning! She made the breakfast too. 

 · Nothing really, although my head banged against the sloping roof of the room a few times XD. It's not the closest house along the road to the national park entrance but walking is only ten minutes or so, but wouldn't recommend for ppl with large suitcases on public transport as the road could be difficult for the luggage wheels.

Homey, comfortable and clean

This place is brilliant for people coming to visit the Plitvice National Park... Ana is a wonderful host and better yet she is more than happy to provide a good breakfast ( I missed out but if you ask her for some cooked eggs then she will make them)...Also in case you have a car then you can just let it be parked here and walk to the park rather than phi g parking charges. 

Homely stay

This guest house is not trendy. Look elsewhere if you want sleek minimalism. But if quaint guesthouse service in charming alpine surrounds appeals, you will be delighted with Ljubo and Ana's. 

Importantly, the Plitvice Park entrance is a comfortable 10 minute walk away and the guest house has parking. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with our two teens and self catered. The kitchen had literally everything we needed to make pasta and enjoy sundowners al fresco, overlooking lush green mountains and wildflowers. The accommodation is scrupulously clean and the beds were very comfortable. Wifi is supplied. Before arriving I expected to find 3 star accommodation (which by modern hotel standards this would be, ) but it gets a solid '5' from us.

Neat-as-a-pin with fabulous old fashioned service 

We were very satisfied with our stay at Guest House Ljubo & Ana, where we had a clean and comfortable room with one double and one twin bed (note that the twin bed lacked sheets, so if you think you might use it, be sure to check and ask for them). We elected to book two nights at the guesthouse so that we could enter the park as soon as it opened and spend as much time as we wanted on the day of our visit there instead of having to watch the clock in order to move on to our next destination. Breakfast was simple but ample: bread, boiled eggs (or cooked to order upon request), cheese, ham, and the highlight--excellent homemade jam of which Ana is rightfully proud.  The guesthouse is very close to Entrance 1 (walking distance, although we chose to drive to the parking lot at the entrance).  It is also very near an excellent restaurant, House Katarina, where we enjoyed dinner so much we returned a second night.  We would recommend Guest House Ljubo & Ana to anyone visiting Plitvice Lakes.

A good choice when visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park

Guest House Ljubo & Ana is close to Plitvik National Park, which is why we decided to stay there. For four adults we chose the two-bedroom apartment. The apartment had plenty of room and, in addition to the two bedrooms, it also had two bathrooms. The apartment was well-equipped. The price was very reasonable given the location.

A terrific breakfast was provided for a small extra cost with everything one could want. The breakfast was in a sunroom in lovely surroundings. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain the whole time that we were there, which rather detracted from the location. On a nice day it would be excellent.

One aspect of the apartment layout that was not good was that to get to the kitchen and dining area it was necessary to pass through the bedroom with the double bed. This could be awkward.
