In terms of where Simply Chic was located, I'm not sure there would be many better accommodation options in the Old Town. That's important to remember when reviewing everything else in the apartment, especially the price. 

The apartments are basic, with pretty much everything you need. The cleanliness I admit, we did expect to be a bit better and we were unfortunately only supplied 1 bath towel and about 10 hand towels, but overall we were happy with the service we got based on the price we paid.

The old town's 'chicness' is applied to the apartment too, with the simple decor and slightly ambiguous entrance – could do with a sign outside perhaps? The check-in and check-out procedures suits us without necessarily having to meet with your host and really it's just a place to sleep, the real holiday is in the city, that's why the location is number 1 here.

Location Location Location

The location is the only positive about this apartment. Located on a quiet side street in the heart of the old town. 

The apartment does not match the pictures as advertised. The host was unable to meet us on arrival. The entrance to the building is an eyesore and the front door is regularly left open. The room itself is  very small and basic. The room appears unfinished and could be a lot cleaner. 

The facilities were poor, not even a safe for your belongings. A fridge is used as a bedside table.There were no toiletries provided. Minimal room around the bed. 

Would not recommend. 

Disappointing

From the pictures I decided to take a chance on this newer property in old town.  While the location is fantastic, and our particular room size was large, that's where the good things ended.  The bad:

*Broken AC
*No TV
*Stiff bed
*Scratchy towels
*Incommunicative owner.

The owner wrote to me explaining that he had to be away for a funeral, which I completely understand, but host duties should be delegated in that case. I tried to get in touch over parking, the broken AC, check out procedures, and literally never heard back.

Great location, otherwise bad

Dubrovnik is over priced, extremely busy.
This apartment amounts to a bed in a room.
The entrance is not well lit.  The bathroom is barely the size to turn around in. No tv.   One very small towell.
Not at all happy with this overpriced room.

DISASTER

Nice the huge apartment practically like 2 large united rooms + open kitchen and fridge, there is to say that the location is magnificent, from the 3 medieval windows you are on the second floor on the perennial driveway, very bright, medieval style stone walls, double glass with total silence if one wants it. Maro the nice guy-owner was very clear in the explanations by sending me regulation also x the payment in cash-local + info and map x to reach the apartments. basically you go down to the capitol with the airport shuttle-bus and cross the levee bridge you enter the famous main street with flooring as well as throwing glittering stones here, simple wax and then wrote to the chicago floor and then to the right of the room.

Medieval-style apartment downtown, nice and well-maintained, stone walls and 3 arcade windows on the alleyways and...

Maro's courtesy and willingness to provide us with the necessary directions for our short stay was certainly not enough to make his apartment fit the required price. Spacious room but SPORCA. From under the bed came out chocolate cards (not consumed by us) and dirt from what you accumulate not washing for a long time. The TV is optional and for those interested, there is no. Not even a bottle of water. 150€ per night (to pay later in cash) is not worth it if you also consider that the towels are hard and worn, as well as the sheets.
