This is a handy and very conveniently located apartment right in between the Ploce and Buza gates of the old town (2 mins in either direction). 

It is modern and clean but lacks some basic things (e.g no corkscrew) and only just sufficiently big for 2 couples and only works if you know each other very well as the bathroom in accessed though one of the double rooms which isn’t mentioned in the description. 

The hot water tank is small so easily runs out on the first shower. We left the heating switch on at all time as instructed but it still runs out. We remedied this by having quick lukewarm showers and 2 having them at night and 2 in the morning. 

The beds are large and pretty comfortable and there was sufficient storage space for bags and clothes. There was air conditioning in all the rooms though the apartment was pretty cool anyway being old and shaded. 

The outside space is pleasant but a little overgrown so not much sun. There were a lot of mosquitoes around and we were bitten a lot. There were anti-mozzie plug-ins for indoors and outdoor repellent to burn (though no matches provided to do so!)

I would definitely recommend staying here, as the location is amazing, but just accept it’s limitations.

Small, modern, clean with a great location

This apartment is a 5 minute walk from the second major entrance to the Old City--the Ploce Gate. The decor is modern, immaculate, and the apartment is perfect if you feel like saving some money and preparing your own food. It also has a stunning courtyard, which is ideal for evening dinners or relaxing away from the chaos of the Old City.

Perfect location and immaculate accommodations

We chose this apartment mainly because of its location:  outside the walls of the very busy/noisy old city center, but still only a few steps away from it.  So, after visiting the old city, no need to climb up a hill.  Also, there are a small supermarket and (next door to that) a bakery close by (just a few steps away from one of the city gates).  We rate the apartment itself a bit mixed:  2 separate modernised bedrooms upstairs (each is a bit small), the large, nice looking modern bathroom can only be entered through one of the bedrooms;  there are a lot of cleverly build-in wardrobe spaces.  We liked the bathtub, but the boiler-capacity was too small to fill one bath with sufficient warm water.  There is no mirror above the wash basin, so shaving was a bit tricky (there is a window where a mirror should be).  The downstairs area is small:  the kitchen was quite basic and not stocked with some basic needs (we had to buy papertowels, tea, sugar, etc.);  the small kitchen table seats 4 people.  The living room was small, and contained only one small 2-seater couch to sit on (no other chairs available).  So, this place is really for 2 people maximum.  There is a noise leak (through a vent in the downstairs toilet) to another apartment (behind or above), sometimes we could very clearly hear people talking, as if they were in our apartment.  There is a small front garden, but we didn't use it because there seemed a lot of mosquitos (may be that is seasonal, and depends on rainfall):  make sure to buy mosquito repellent, and don't leave a window open around dusk (we were bitten a lot).  Oh, and be aware:  if you bring your own car, there is really nowhere near to park (except on a small plot nearby, behind a barrier where you have to pay by the hour day & night).
