If you are looking at these rooms it is because the price is right and location to port and bus terminal are important to you arriving or departing late at night or early in the morning. We stayed in the studio with kitchen. This room does not have a view however it is perfect for self-catering and a longer stay. We stayed 4 nights in July. Remember views = steps. Views from the terrace are wonderful. Enjoy relaxing there after a busy day walking around a crowded Dubrovnik. Welcoming host family, fluent English spoken by daughter who was an encyclopaedia for what to do in Dubrovnik and Croatia. Within walking distance are several clusters of restaurants.

I booked reading quickly that it was free cancellation. I didn't read well on Booking that it was before 30 days... and it was less. I asked for comprehension as i realized it a couple of hours later (and had been automatically charged). It didn't imply absolutely any cost to the Guest House Mare in Dubrovnik.

They applied their conditions without being comprehensive. They wanted me to cancel without letting me know if i would get some money back... they wanted just to have the room available again to charge it to another tourist and thus, get twice for the same room (as they refused to give me some money back).

They do not speak English. I tried to communicate with them per email and they answered in Croatian. They pretend on Booking they speak English. Booking even had to search for a person who spoke Croatian to talk to the landloard. 

Do you wish to go to a Hotel/B&B where you know that they won't make any effort for you even when you made a simple mistake? Would you go to a place where the tourist is just here to be charged 72€ for a 2 hour booking applying in a stupid way all terms?
We can all make mistakes... i just believe that their lack of effort is significative of their lack of interest of giving good service to the tourists. They just want your money. So, be aware if you go.
