We stayed in the beautiful purple room. Very comfortable bed with nice big pillows. The view was amazing! Great air conditioning cooled down the room very quick. Our host was very welcoming, provided us with cocktails on arrival and a few other treats to try during our stay. He was very happy to help and offers day trips to nearby places. Bathroom facilities all worked well and very clean. We thought we may regret not staying in the old town but the bus stop is very close and the bus journey is short. We bought a 3 day bus pass so had no issues. This also meant we got to see a lot more of Dubrovnik that we may have missed, some beautiful walks and many good food options just down the stairs!

Highly recommend

A lovely b&b with a very welcoming and friendly family.  The room was lovely, bright and clean with a small but immaculate en-suite with a really good shower.  The balcony looked down onto Sunset beach.  Milo makes sure you are well informed about where to get best value in the old Town.  He was also very happy to pick up from the airport and then take me back for my journey home.  He can organise trips to other resorts if you like.  A great base which allows you to explore the Dubrovnik area.  

Lovely welcome in a beautiful spot

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 days. It's a family run guest house, our host Milo is the most nicest and most welcoming man, he always had time for a chat. As soon as we arrived he told us about the area, and gave us a map and pointed out various locations and restaurants/bars that he recommended. He also gave us cocktails and snacks made by his wife, which we enjoyed on our balcony overlooking the beach. Location wise, a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach down 160 steps, (not as bad as it sounds) plenty of restaurants and bars and an equal walk to the bus stop which will bring you to the old town in 10 minutes. Overall, highly recommended, if we ever come back to dubrovnik we will definitely stay with Milo again! 

Warm welcome

Stayed here for the last 3 nights of our Croatia trip and I can’t thank enough Milo, the host, for being such a gentleman and very accomodating giving us all the information about the area. We checked in late but he still spent time with us explaining the map of Dubrovnik, things we can do, where to go, nearby good restaurants and also giving us welcoming drinks and pastries. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and a great view( we have the room with a balcony and sea view). There’s an aircondition to beat the summer heat and a tv in the room. There’s a fridge downstairs, a kettle if you want to make yourself some coffee and tea. The toilet/shower is a bit small but not a problem for us at all. The location is a good distance from the old town, approximately 25-30 mins by bus, bus stop is 3 mins walk from the apartment, also close to lapad where you can also explore the beaches. Its a bit of a challenge to reach the apartment after exploring since there will be a lot of stairs but at the same time its a good exercise. Never had an accomodation where the host is really engaging and eager to help when needed. Thank you Mr. Milo and family.

Comfortable Apartment & Excellent Host

We didn't know, or rather, we didn't realize, that it was a guesthouse. We were greeted by the owner, who kindly explained to us with a map, the infallible places to visit and recommended a restaurant where to dine that night, near his house. The small room, but there is no bathroom, but for one night you don't need a bathroom. Everything is very clean, with good bedding and bathroom. The wifi is good, the breakfast is paid. There are 3 or 4 possibilities, which you ask the selections the previous day and the time you want to be greeted, as it is the wife who does it. Very abundant and our only 6 euros per person.

What an experience!

We stayed for 5 nights at this lovely guest house in a quiet part of Lapad. Our host met us at the airport (twice, as the plane was diverted first time!!), and gave us a wealth of information about the area, all of it very useful. Cosmopolitan cocktails + snacks on our terrace were a very welcome touch when we arrived. The hotel is small, but lovely. There is a small kitchen down one flight of stairs with fridge etc. Our host provided tea/coffee etc so we could help ourselves. You could store stuff in the fridge. The view from our balcony (room 2) is stunning. You look over Lapad bay, but you are high enough not to be bothered by noise. It faces south west so sunny, and good sunsets. We bought a 3 day Dubrovnik card, on the advice of our host, and it proved very good value as it includes entrance to lots of the museums and the city walls. It also gives you discount on the ferry to Lokrum   The bus stop to the Old Town is about a 5 minute walk. Bus takes around 10 minutes, and run regularly. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. There are   quite a few steps to the beach and back, but there are routes which may be slightly longer, but miss out most of the steps, so just explore. There is a lovely coastal path, with many bathing platforms with ladders into the sea. The path ultimately takes you round to the other side of Lapad, where the Copacabana beach is. Personally, I much preferred our side. Much prettier and less touristy. Plenty of Croatians on holiday here, which is always a good sign. All in all, fabulous location to stay and explore, and would thoroughly recommend  Cosmopolitan House as a real home from home with a lovely host. He also treated us to drinks on the night when Croatia played Belgium. We  then watched the game in a local restaurant.  Great atmosphere!

Stunning views

The owner gave us a very warm welcome with home made cookies and cocktales. Milo also had much advice about how to get the best of our stay in Dubrovnik. Beautifully decorated small room with tiny bathroom, access to shared kitchen and secure off street parking garage. Close to the beach, restaurants and bus routes with many steps to negotiate. 

Wonderful welcome 

This place is a hidden gem of a guest house with the most wonderful hosts. This is not a 5* hotel and does not have hotel facilities. However it more than makes up for it with a wonderful host family, a clean and large bedroom with a wonderful sea view and great proximity to local Lapad bay and a close walk to the bus stop which takes you to the old town. Milo the host was a wonderful and kind man and I felt we were staying with a family. Would recommend the trip with Milo to Bosnia which was an interesting and fascinating day. There is a communal kitchen area where you can use the fridge and kettle etc. Stay here- its amazing!!

What a wonderful place to stay

Of course we booked at the last moment but like during our entire August 2017 stay in Croatia. Room No. 1 (very green) is not as described. Instead of the 17m2 it actually makes 7m2 more than just 2m2 of bathroom, toilet!!! The living room and office corner remain to be found!! No possibility of cooking on site because the kitchen/lounge is shared with the 4 rooms, closed, and Milo the owner is watching the TV with his dog smoking his cigarette. To get to the old town you have to take the bus No. 6 which is 5 minutes walk away. So Lapad beach is 275 steps down the stairs that the many pizza makers, bakers and insipid restaurants in the neighborhood are staying at the same place, which requires a minimum of 15 days of baking and pastry, but you can still hear the hotel in the same room with a number of other guests in the kitchen (yes, and a couple of other guests in the kitchen) so you can have access to the kitchen without having to the oven.

Last resort

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend last month and I would highly recommend this accommodation. The owner was a true gentleman and was so helpful, welcoming us with a drink and a snack, giving us loads of tourist information. The guesthouse is very centrally located in Lapad near lots of lovely restaurants and views. The bus stop to the old town is only a short walk away,with the buses being very frequent and only a 20 minute journey. It suited us to be staying outside of the hectic old town and allowed us to enjoy the peace and quiet of Lapad.
The only slight downside is that it's at the top of a hill, like much of Dubrovnik, so there's a steep incline of steps but you get used to it! 
The owner does excursions to Montenegro and Bosnia which if we had more time we wish we could have done as he's such an interesting kind man. We did avail of his airport transfer service which was very handy. 
Overall I would highly recommend this guesthouse.
