This little apartment was a gem in a busy city, just outside the Old City walls it was quiet and peaceful. Easy access to great cafes and restaurants , supermarket, bus, and entrance to the Old City. The apartment was clean, well appointed, air conditioned with a lovely  private shaded courtyard. The bonus for us after 2 weeks into our month long trip was being able to use the washing machine and taking advantage of the courtyard space to dry everything. Anthony our host was very pleasant and for a small charge offered to drive us to the airport on our departure from Dubrovnik. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with this lovely apartment.

Fantastic apartment near old city.
We had all what we need.
First Dubrovnik is amaizing place to visit.
Apartment is close to old town.
Area is wery calm,so you can sleep good at night.Wery comfortable beds,fresh bed sheets and towels.Completly kitchen iff you like to prepaire some food.
Also outside area,nice terase for coffe.
Don t forget ,owner will help you with parking place wich is wery nice.

The location is about five minutes from Pile Gate – thus you can go into the old town of Dubrovnik early in the morning and see it without many other people around.  The location also means that it is very quiet and peaceful, and you can enjoy a private terrace which is outside your apartment.  The apartment is well equipped, and it was spotlessly clean.  There were issues with the washing machine and the hob.  There is a small supermarket close by and cafes and restaurants just around the corner.  We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to other travellers. Be prepared to pay for your rather expensive apartment in cash.

Banovac apartments were mosly very good

Our first visit to Dubrovnik and it started well with this apartment. It has absolutely everything you would want. Spotlessly clean, with a properly equipped kitchen and a spacious shower room and toilet. The bedroom was ideal, with a comfortable bed and lots of storage space. 
The apartment isn't in the old town, but sits only a few meters from the old Pile Gate. For us, this was a blessing, because we watched quite a few people dragging their suitcases through the old city, negotiating some of the steep alleyways that you face in this old city. Our taxi dropped us at the Pile Gate and 3 minutes later, we were in Banovac. After a couple of long walking days, it was perfect to get back to this quiet apartment, and feet-up with a glass of wine.
We didn't see Anthony the owner, but we had great SMS communication with him during our stay.

Just perfect

This apartment could not be in a more perfect location - it's right in the centre of the old town close to everything (you do have to climb a few steps but that's Dubrovnik!) yet it is still tucked away and quiet. The outdoor area is fantastic and not something you would expect from an apartment in the middle of such a busy area. It had everything we needed and the bed was really comfy. The owners are really friendly, we had a warm welcome and they live just next door if you need anything.

Perfect location and lovely balcony

We stayed  in the apartment for three nights. Best part Very close to Pile gate and only around 15 steps to the apartment. Very clean and comfortable, with an outdoor seating area to relax, when you come back tired from walking the walls. Several restaurants close by.Prompt reply to emails. Anthony the owner is very helpful. Collected us from the airport  and dropped us back to the bus station. No hesitation in recommending.

Fantastic Location

Lovely, quiet, clean , nicely decorated and cozy little apartment. Great location if You want to be near the old city.
BUT:
Once I made my booking, I mentioned that the time of my arrival to the apartment will be from 14:00 to 15:00.
I have arrived to the apartment at 14:15. It was raining, I took  all my heavy luggage up the steps.  Imagine how disappointed I was to discover that the host is NOT there! 
I was absolutely lucky , that the neighbors from the other apartment lat us in to the courtyard. The host arrived after an hour, but he have NOT even apologized !!! As an answer to my question: "Why haven't you waited at the apartment between 14:00 and 15:00 as we agreed?" He just asked which currency I prefer to pay: Kuna's or Euro's. I think it is just inappropriate behavior. Not sure that his apology would fix his irresponsible behavior, but at least it could make me feel a bit better.

Lovely apartment , great location

A really nice apartment very close to Pile Gate to the old town but far enough to be also very quiet. It is clean and comfortable with good facilities and excellent bathroom / shower. The only downside for us was you have to pay in cash which we weren't advised of and weren't prepared for. Also the owner was away and unreachable. The outside patio is also great in nice weather. Great place to stay but bring cash.
