We had an amazing family holiday here. Hrvoje and Louise were so friendly and welcoming. Hrvoje arranged our taxi and trips. Fabulous location away from the business of Dubrovnik. Would highly recommend.

Amazing holiday

Host was friendly and informative, providing bus timetables and details of potential trips. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with strong shower and balcony overlooking beautiful scenery, as well as good kitchen facilities. Pool was clean and relaxing amongst the quiet neighbourhood. Location was good, being 5 mins from bus stop which takes you directly to town, but also close to a path (although steep) which leads you straight down to old town, and had stunning views. Host offered airport transfer for 240 kuna each way which was really helpful. Would definitely stay again if ever visiting Dubrovnik. 

Would stay again 

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Villa Darrer. We had a wonderful time from  when we landed at the Airport. Hrvoje the owner had arranged for us to be picked up from the airport which included a stop at Lidl supermarket so that we could stock up on all the essentials, eg things for breakfast, fruit beer  etc. The taxi driver Tony is his cousin and was very informative on the journey to the apartment.At the apartment Hrvoje greeted us and also gave us his telephone number and all the information that we needed. The apartment was lovely and clean and things like washing up liquid ,tea towels already there. The location is great away from all the hustle and bustle that is Dubrovnik The pool is really great and a wonderful way to relax after walking around Dubrovnik.The pool is in the sun all day which was a bonus. Hrvoje and his wife were really lovely and he arranged a trip for us to Kravica falls and Mostar with pick up and drop off at the apartment. I also text him a few times and he booked us a table at the local restaurant The walk into Dubrovnik is approximately 35 mins but the views of the old town and Locrum island are beautiful. We caught the bus back a few times and the cable car once.£2 on the bus and £9 for the cable car but you must do it at least once to see the stunning views. There is a wonderful restaurant about 10 minutes walk. The food is great and plenty of it. Also the people were very nice .I would definitely recommend Villa Darrer to anyone it is a little gem.

LOVELY STAY

When first visiting Villar Darrer, myself and my partner were a little apprehensive when travelling up the huge hill away from the main Old town of Dubrovnik but when arriving, I was impressed with the host Hrvoje who gave detailed information about bus times and cost (12-15 Kunas) to the Old town, places to visit and a map of the area. This definitely eased my mind! 
He has a very reliable method of transport (at a small cost) that can take you to and from a local supermarket to stock up with food for the week. Essential items are given in the apartments (things you wouldn’t necessarily take on holiday with you e.g washing up liquid, tea towels, utensils,  saucepans, mosquito plugs etc) Everything was clean and tidy and plenty of space to relax after a long day sight seeing. Basically a home from home. 
Hrvoje and his Wife Lou were very helpful with anything we required and nothing was ever too much for them. 
Hrvoje organised all of our excursions for us, including transport to and from the pick up points and always asked if we enjoyed our day.  
I would definitely recommend this apartment, even though it wasn’t exactly in the Old Town, it was so nice to be able to see the ‘real Croatia’ and not the tourist side of Croatia with just a short distance. 
I will be returning and wouldn’t think twice about staying somewhere else. The whole week was perfect! Thank you for being so kind and caring!

We visited Villa Darrer in August and had a great trip! The owner went above and beyond to inform us about things to do in the area it was great to have a local insight. Great location with the bus station only being a couple of minutes walk from the apartment, with a nice restaurant 5mins away. The pool and rooms were clean, and a welcome break from the busy city center to relax and unwind. Will definitely be visiting again!
