The room was great for those who don’t mind a lot of steps! Really nice terrace with plenty of space. The only downside was the smell coming from the shower/drains, we avoided this area as much as possible!! 

Good location.

- Great location within the city walls. 
- We were greeted by a friendly owner who gave us advice and tips about the city. 
- Room was VERY small. 
- Not a comfortable stay 
- One tiny box window which hardly let any natural in. 
- no room service for 3 days so had same towels and bins weren’t emptied.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to family and friends.

Great location but not a comfortable stay.

We were met by a friendly guy at the gate to old town who showed us to our room and told us a bit about the city, he also carried my case - so thank you for that! The location was good inside the walls but in a quieter location to the edge of the old town. The room was a little cramped but we had everything we needed. There also wasn’t much natural light but we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway with a town to explore on our doorstep. 

Good location and service

I stayed here with my partner in March for 3 nights. I would definitely recommend this place! We had originally reserved a room for only 2 nights but when we rang and asked to stay longer and check in a day earlier it was no problem at all! The room was super clean and its in a great location too!

Great stay- definitely recommend!

Nice room in a quiet alley. Room though small had a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave cutlery. Room has a cupboard and a safe and is quite clean. The one 
 big disadvantage is the long flight of steep stairs one has to climb to get to the property, a struggle if you are carrying a lot of luggage

Small but well appointed room in Old Town

I write this review very much in the context of a tourist now having the benefit of visiting the beautiful city of Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik is an expensive city, particularly within the city walls and to be there you must expect a premium and or compromise.

The Rooms Old Town are small, do not have a great deal of storage, the most basic of kitchen facilities and work space and are accessed via a steep final internal stairs which are akin to a ships steps.  

However, the Apartment is at the same time wonderfully central and quiet and pleasant retreat from the busy main streets.  And it benefits from a lovely little outdoor space to enjoy breakfast, read or have a drink.

We found the accommodation very easily.  Turn off Stradun on to nikole bozidarevica and walk straigt to the top.  There are about 40 steps this way and a bit of a hike with luggage. At the top you wil meet a wall, turn right, a sharp left through an arch and Zvijezdiceva 1, is immediately on your left.  

You can go to the far end of Stradun, turn up Uzil Jesuite and you have about a dozen steps and a more gradual incline and this is a nice route in and out of the apartment.

On arrival we rang a door bell which diverted to the owners sisters phone.  She then came to the apartment a few minutes later and checked us in, including giving lots of good information.

We found 2000 Kuna in the safe and let the owners know, hopefully the previous guests realised and got in touch!

The apartment has a comfortable double bed, a small wardrobe, functional and very clean bathroom, albeit with limited hot water, an extremely small kitchen space and the lovely terrace.

In common with many apartments we viewed it was small and being in an attic the space was further confined by sloping ceilings.

The kitchen was only suitable for making a breakfast or lunch, not cooking anything more than eggs or something utilising the small hob and work space.

AC was good and we really enjoyed the small outdoor space, although there is little of a view it is still a pleasant relaxing area.

The room was serviced while we were staying and we had no complaints about the cleanliness or upkeep.  

Be aware the steps would not be easy for everyone.

Overall we really liked our stay and if you want to stay in the old town, benefit from the closeness of sites you must accept the compromise of space - or pay significantly more than this place charges.  

We would stay here again.
