We visited Dubrovnik in September (just one night), and wanted to stay in the city center. Rooms Kazerma was a perfect match - great location, inside the Old Town, just next to the city walls (therefore no availability by bus or car).
The room was very small, but clean and quite enough for one night stay. The owner is very pleasant lady, who brought us juice and cake :) and she uses a starch for the sheets...it was a pleasure to lay down in bed, after a long exhaustive walk!
Don't know if the lady is fluent in English - we were speaking our language :)
Perfect location - small but pleasant room - great price for the value.

Tip: there are ca. 100 stairs to this facility. It is recommended not to carry big bags/cases. If you 
do have these, be clever and drop them at the main bus station. :)

Great choice for a short stay !

Great for a budget option as staying in the old town will normally cost you a fortune. It cost €104 for 4 nights in October so it really is cheap. The only concern for some people I would say is that the shower cubicle is very small so if your over 5'10 or well built you could well struggle!

Very cheap at end of season. 

Three of us stayed in both rooms, which are basically the upstairs of their house, but this was absolutely fine. A little confusion when we first arrived, but that was just due to language barriers and they were very friendly! Rooms were very clean and had good air con. Lots of character and definitely a plus being inside the old walls. There are a lot of steps there, but only really an issue when taking up the luggage (so avoid ascending at a very hot time of day!), but we were greeted with cold juice and sweets by the owners! Would definitely stay here again. 

Lovely stay!

Me and my husband stayed here for 5 nights. There's a fridge so you can store things. It's extremely close to all the restaurants. The wall is just in front of the house. The landlady was really nice and helpful. It's very private, and the air conditioning is wonderful. There are some rules and little signs to help figure things out, but all very reasonable. 
It's really clean. And all though it's a shared bathroom it doesn't become a problem. 
Be ware! There are lots of stairs to get there haha. But it helped us get our daily work out! Overall a great stay! 

Clean, in old town, and cute! 

Great apartment in Dubrovnik old town. Good facilities and amenities. Very clean and everything you’ll need. My adult daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and it was reassuring we didn’t have far to go to almost everything!  Restaurants, supermarkets and sights all within a short distance.  The apartment is quite high up so if you’re not fit or have mobility issues it might not be for you although there is an alternative route via the Jesuit Steps which is slightly easier as parts of it are not so steep as the direct route.

A the start, it was a bit of a pain getting there. You should get the handphone number of the friendly landlady to get a good handle on where you are in old town. The large extent of the old town walls in Dubrovnik could mean you completing a long walk around, before you find this place. Still, you get some spectacular views of the city walls. The Kazerma is itself in the old walls, so you could be sleeping in a 500-year room. The view over the old town is rather blocked, but someone started a "garden" downstairs and attracts a gathering of cats. The rooms are spacious, but there are stairs, and few toilets / showers available, so expect a wait here and then. The landlady helps out with your enquiries and questions.
