We stayed here in September 2018 and it was really lovely. The landlord (Mladen) came to meet us as we arrived and gave us a quick run down on the geography of the area, how to get to the old town etc. 
The apartment was great. It was spotlessly clean and bright and had everything you could need for your holiday. There is free wifi, air-conditioning, all the hot water you could need and the spectacular views that others have spoken about here. The apartment is very safe and secure. There isn't a safe but you won't need one because of the location and the fact that Dubrovnik is a very safe place anyway. The apartment up the hill  overlooking the old town so there are quite a few steps to negotiate but we mostly got around that by using the gentler footpaths along the roads. Mladen and his family are very gracious hosts and it appears that nothing is a problem for them. I thoroughly recommend Apartments Simic for your holiday. You won't regret choosing this. Believe me, we will be back.

Better than staying in a big hotel

Apartment Simic is very clean and has all the comforts of home required. On arrival there was fresh fruit and beers provided. The Apartments are located towards the back of Dubrovnik outside the City which is great as when I was there the Old City was very crowded indeed and it was nice to escape to the calm of the Apartment. The view from the balcony is great and you can sit there and have  a drink viewing the Old City.  Mladen communication is very good and makes sure you are clear about what you apartment you have booked and what else you need to know before arrival. He also arranged for the taxi to and from the Airport which was very good indeed.

I discovered Mladen's apartments in the summer of 2014, where I only stayed for few days. But the whole experience was absolutely fantastic, that I had to return for two weeks this summer! Mladen is the most kind and generous host, that I've met in Croatia. The apartment, I stayed in had the most wonderful view on the old city and Lokrum. It's breathtaking!!! Its absolutely worth taking the 430 stairs every day. And Mladen's apartments are impeccably clean, which is very important to me. I can warmly recommend this place, and I'm definitely going back there next year!

Mladen's appartment is a beautiful place to stay at when visiting Dubrovnik. It's located just above the old town, with an incredible view - the walls of Dubrovnik, the tower Minčeta, the blue sea and the sunsets. The apartment is roomy with a modern kitchen (containing everything you might need if you decide to cook), a bedroom and a bathroom. There's also airconditioning that should come in handy in the hot summer months. Mladen was a very friendly host, quickly responding to any of our questions, and happy to give us tips on what to see or visit, not just in Dubrovnik but also in the wider area. One thing I'd advise is not to come with a car if you can. Parking in Dubrovnik can be quite difficult especially this close to the old town, and it's perfectly possible to walk everywhere. Do expect a lot of stairs - but in my opinion they only add to the charm of this place - walking down to the old city you pass many colorful little doors and flower-adorned walls, with the smell of jasmine and orange trees everywhere on the way. Recommended!

We had an excellent time at Mladen's place. Mladen is a very gracious and generous host. The view of the old city is the best and enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony in the evening was unbeatable. You need to be prepared to walk up and down some pretty steep stairs to get to the place but on the other hand it is very close to the old city yet it is very quiet and it gives you the chance to escape the hordes of tourists swarming the city. The kids loved it too!
