I admit that I booked a week here by mistake, without actually understanding the location of the room relative to the city. Well, perfect location! A few steps from the port from which ferries depart for all the islands (except for the beautiful lokrum), bus stop under the house and 5 minutes by bus from the old town (where I think it is impossible to stay). Only two rooms with the two respective bathrooms, cleanliness, kindness of the two elderly owners who offer beer juice or coffee on every occasion. Absolutely reasonable price, 490 in two for seven nights. Single criticism goes to the furniture of the room (but how much is in the room on vacation?) and the fact that they don't give breakfast.. but perhaps by descending the rooms you always find yourself an excellent place for breakfast!

I've never made a mistake like this!

It was spectacular to be able to find a place to sleep. Rooms Vulicevic on the port of Gruz. 130 steep steps to find yourself in a sober and very clean cottage with two old clay people who kindly showed us the right way to get there by car and motorcycle. A steep climb unconnected and full of sacks that made the motorcycle rider's husband tremble for a moment. But how can you not be fascinated by the chatter mixed in croquet and Italian of two non-sympathizers who put you at ease with fresh fruit, ice water and excellent Turkish coffee!!!!???

What a surprise!

My boyfriend and I (30 & 28) stayed here for two nights after travelling around Europe for a month. It was perfect for us. We absolutely adored the two owners, who speak very little English but are so warm and welcoming. Their terrace was beautiful and the room was very clean as well as our private bathroom. We would definitely come back!

Great place to stay in Dubrovnik!

Pros: Great in-room wifi. Clean.  Large room. Private external bathroom.  Satellite TV with lots of English channels.  The couple who run it are very sweet.  Hot shower with great pressure.  Bus stop to Old Town is a minute walk away (Bus #8).  Main bus station for domestic and international buses is about 10 minute walk away near the ferry port.

Cons: There's lots of steps to get up and down but that is EVERYWHERE in Dubrovnik.  If you take the #8 bus back, it goes along the lower road which means you have to walk up twice as many stairs.

Clean with gracious hosts

We had booked the Vulicevic, in fact when we arrived the owner told us that he was full and accompanied us to a neighbour's house who had a room available (Mrs. Maria!) My judgment then refers to the room in which I stayed: about 30 minutes walk from the center (with climbing and descending) which can however be easily reached by bus No. 1 (passes about every 20 minutes). Both of the rental rooms are located on a street/scaletta we couldn't reach by car. The room at the lady's house was rather spacious with furniture from a few decades ago and a cleaning closet.
