We were looking forward to a romantic few days with the promised sea view apartment a few hundred meters above Dubrovnik old town. All as promised on Booking.com. When arriving we were put in mold smelling apartment with basement feeling. Dark with windows close to the ceiling like in an old garage. When complaining no help was received from Booking.com either. Will not use them anymore either. Stay away at all cost!

Mold smelling apartment in basement

Very nice view from balcony. Walking distance to Old city just 10-12min app.
Bus No.3 stop accros apartment,supermarket also few minute from house.
Owner can drive you to airport for special price(new cars).
I definitely recommend this accomodation,see you next year.

...Nice view and host...recommend

I stayed in apartments and room Imperijal for 4 nights. The room did not have a sea view but room was clean and the host lady was lovely. She offered me a drink and grapes on arrival. The room is only 15 mins walk from old town or you can get a bus from nearby bus stop. The busses run frequently, so getting around was not a problem. 

Imperijal rooms Dubrovnik 

The room was very nice (quite new). Little bit small, but very cozy. Everything described in description including photos fits. The prize is very nice despite of a very good location (10 minutes to the center). The personal was very kind and helpful. Madam had a little problem with English, but it was not a big deal. We always understood each other anyway. Thanks for your services, we really enjoyed our stay.

Nice room, kind personal 

We stayed in apartment # 2 for the last 5 nights of our 18 day Croatia-Slovenia- B-H vacation and it was a great place in which to end a great vacation. This large apartment is clean and well equipped and the sea view from the balcony is spectacular. It was so peaceful and beautiful having breakfast on the balcony and watching the sunset in the evening. It was a scenic 10 minute walk down the 500+ stairs to the Old Town and the # 3 bus stops right outside the apartment- this came in handy at night when we didn't want to climb up all those stairs after a full day of sightseeing. The trail up to Mt.Srd was only a 3 or 4 minute walk from the apartment. The two brothers that own the apartment were very friendly as was their mom who lived just below our apartment. She only spoke a few words of English but was very sweet- brought us a bottle of wine and even brought us a clothes drying rack as she was worried the clothes we had hung on the balcony might get rained on one night.

The apartment was very quiet at night. The sofa bed was not very comfortable but my friend slept in the bedroom and found the double bed comfortable and the room very cozy.

WiFi signal was strong inside the apartment but we always lost it when we went out on the balcony. The washing machine came in handy as did the clothes lines on the balcony.
There are no grocery stores or restaurants close by so it was another good hike down to the grocery store and up again all those stairs but it was a pretty walk and a good work out.

I would have given this apartment an even higher rating if not for the strong odour of air freshener that we noticed as soon as we arrived and did not lessen at all until the last day. Even though the young man checked and saw the air freshener container was empty, the strong smell permeated the apartment for 4 out of 5 days and gave us both headaches. The only place it did not smell was in the bedroom. We removed the scented toilet paper and the scented product in the toilet but it didn't really help. We never did find the source- it was almost like the scent was being pumped in through the vents. Those with sensitivities like me and my friend might want to email the host and ask them not to use scented products. Despite this annoyance, we both really loved this apartment, the location, the view and would stay here again if we ever returned to Dubrovnik. (And next time I would definitely ask the hosts to remove any air fresheners and scented products).

Spectacular sea view!

me and my stayed in a small studio which was very clean and cozy. it was super easy to find it since it is located right in front of bus station. Old town is just 15mins by walk but lots of stairs. i recommend to use bus when you go back to the house from old town. there was no bad smell at all. the owner was very welcoming and kind. i had a pleasant stay.
