So glad we chose Villa Elly. First drawn by the excellent price, but everything worked so well. Elly and her husband are excellent hosts. They welcome you to the villa. Our room on the top floor was spacious and clean. The Dubrovnik roads are noisy, with the good news is that the villa is located on a quiet street, yet has close access to the main streets. The historic center is about 10 to under 15 minutes a way. A tip, there is a slightly longer way down to the main street without stairs. Do recommend. 

A full kitchen is provided, with a washing machine. Our room had a balcony, which was a great location for breakfast and a stunning view of the Adriatic.

Only minor complaint is that the bed was noisy, and did not work for both my wife and I to sleep on it, one would be waking the other up. More good news is that the sofa was very comfortable to sleep on. So even there, a solution.

Should we return to Dubrovnik, we would return to Villa Elly.

Wonderful Stay

A great place to stay in Dubrovnik! 
Very close to everything but still a place were you can get away from the crowded places.
We stayed in a very clean and nice apartment just under the roof.
The host are so nice and caring and you can’t ask for more.
They help you with everything if you ask but they are not trying to “sell” anything, they just help you❤️
When, and it’s when we go back to Dubrovnik we will come back here.

A pearl in Dubrovnik

I arrived late and tired from my delayed flight but felt very welcome by Elly and her husband at the door. They helped me settle in and provided great tips on the amenities available nearby. Elly even gave me a lift to the bus station for my airport transfer on the last day!

I stayed in the double room upstairs. The bed and duvet in the room were very comfortable. I just had one issue with the shower which could not be positioned for showering hands-free. If this was fixed, it would be perfect!

Excellent hosts

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Elly. If you plan to come to Dubrovnik, book well in advance since there aren't very many rooms. The room I stayed in was the economy room on the top floor. It was spacious and comfortable and had everything I could possibly need, plus there is a cute balcony outside which has a nice view. The property is really centrally located and is walking distance from the Pile Gate (although it is an uphill trek so if you are dragging luggage it can be tiring). Even better than the accommodations though were Andrija and Elly, the hosts of the property. They both greeted me upon arrival and immediately made me feel so welcome. Elly went above and beyond to ensure that I able to get to a tour pickup location very early in the morning and even gave me a lift to the bus station on my last day. Even though I was in a foreign country, I felt right at home. I cannot recommend this guesthouse enough!

The Height of Hospitality

Elly's beautiful apartment is a great find! A ten minute walk from the very centre of Dubrovnik along a traffic free pathway, the apartment we stayed in (I think she has three) was twin-bedded at the top of the house. Accessed via an external staircase it has its own private entrance so you can come and go easily,  and a great roof terrace with a big sunblind so it's always comfortable to sit out. Fridge and basic crockery etc, good for breakfast and making a packed lunch. VERY comfy beds and pillows and complete silence at night. Powerful and warm shower and a washing machine with soap provided.  Frankly,  it was wonderful. We met Elly, her husband and her grown up children individually over our three night stay. Elly very kindly gave us a lift to the bus station on our final morning to catch the coach to Kotor.  A lovely lady indeed! I cannot recommend Villa Elly highly enough. 

Absolutely excellent!

You normally write a review after leaving your holiday accommodation - I'm writing this and still have 5 nights to stay here.
We were so lucky to choose this place, everything about it is great!
A well equipped, clean apartment including washing machine, iron, microwave, toasted sandwich maker, fridge and cooking facilities. Clean towels provided regularly. Private balcony with chairs and table. 200 metres to the nearest supermarket. 10 minutes walk into the Old Town downhill, get the bus back up and get off at the 2nd stop as the walk to the apartment is easier.
So the apartment is great, what about the hosts? 
Andrija and Elly have been fantastic - both speak excellent English and Andrija sits down with you on arrival to give you some local directions and tips. He is a wealth of local information. They also can sort out airport transfers at reasonable cost which makes things easier.
We would recommend this place to family and friends easily.

Both Andrija and Elly were very friendly and helpful. Thanks very much to Elly for running us to the ferry terminal today too.
Andrija is also a wealth of information for the local are.
Our too floor apartment with our own terrace was ideal for our family of 4 and had 2 bathrooms too!
Can highly recommend as well priced and just a 10 minute walk into the old town. Bus stop close by too if the walk back up the hill is too much!!

Great Location, Hosts and Apartments

Stayed in Apt Andrea in Villa Elly in May 2017. Well located a short walk from the old town (downhill on the way in, hilly on the way back but buses and taxis are cheap and plentiful if needed) and much better value than accommodation within or just outside the city walls. The apartment had absolutely everything one could want or need including a lovely private terrace. The hosts were super helpful with information, with organising airport transfers and with a lift to the bus station when we were leaving. Highly recommended.
