The main draws of this accommodation are definitely the view and the location. We stayed at the 2-bedroom apartment on Peline which comprised of one double bedroom, and a larger double bedroom which housed the kitchenette. The first double faces the street and is quite dark. The second bedroom is light and bright, with two windows looking out over the city. Kitchen was fairly well stocked with cooking utensils, dinnerware, kettle, fridge and hob which we used during our stay. The bathroom for this apartment was out of the main door and in the shared corridor. Up the shared stairs to the apartment above, was the balcony assigned to our rooms. It has wide sweeping views of the entire old town and gets the sun all day. It was a bit of a pain having to carry our food etc up the stairs and back again due to the balcony not being directly attached to our apartment, and the whole place is a bit tired in need of a refresh - but aside from that, it was a good clean comfortable place to stay. Right near Buza gate with a cafe just a few doors up on the same level. The host gave great clear communications throughout and the place felt very secure and safe.
It was also fun to see our building from the Dubrovnik walls when we did that!

Views and location spot on!

Four of us stayed at the 2 bed apartment as an overnight stopover and chance to visit city of Dubrovnik before flight home to UK. Apartment is easy to find with Toni’s instructions from the Buza gate. Some lugging of suitcases up steps and stairs but I think we all let out a collective gasp on first view of old city from the upstairs balcony. We didn’t need to use the kitchen facilities apart from fridge for cold beers in preparation for sunset viewing. Basic but clean and fantastic location for old city. Toni was very helpful in booking process and suggesting transport options from ferry port and to airport following morning.

We booked our stay at the studio apartment with balcony and sea view - Peline 13 with Booking.com and paid the deposit with the booking. The total amount due was to be paid before we went by two further payments, one in July the balance at the end of August. 
When the second amount was due, Booking.com sent me a request for payment and I gave them my card details to pay. I then received an e-mail from Booking.com saying 'Unfortunately, we were unable to process a payment with the credit card details you have supplied'. 
I couldn't understand why they were unable to process the payment as I had sufficient funds on that card to cover the amount due. But, just in case there was some sort of problem with that card, I added another card for them to use, again with more than sufficient funds to cover the cost.
Once again I get an e-mail from Booking.com saying 'Unfortunately, we were unable to process a payment with the credit card details you have supplied'. 
So I try getting hold of someone at Booking.com to find out what the problem is, which has to be done by e-mail as I found it impossible to talk to a human. But all I got was referred to the owner of the apartment, Toni Lucic, who assured me, all was OK and the apartment is booked for us and we can pay in cash on arrival.
Then I get an e-mail a day later from Booking.com stating 'This reservation was cancelled because of an invalid credit card'. By now, I am getting annoyed and frustrated with the whole situation. On contacting the apartment owner, he confirmed that its all OK and the apartment is booked for us and he would pick us up at the airport, as originally arranged. 
I was concerned that we could fly out there and find that the apartment might not be available and we'd have to find somewhere else to stay. If I cancelled my end, I end up losing 132 euro deposit, I'd paid when I first booked.
I decided to take a chance and go. Which, as it turned out, was all fine. It turns out that Toni had trouble his end getting our card payments and he prefers his payment in cash anyway. He met us at the airport as arranged and turns out to be a really nice guy. However, we weren't aware of that during the booking process and the cancellation by Booking.com did cause us a great deal concern.
To the apartment, it is located near the north west entrance to wall city. We took a largish suitcase, weighing around 20kg and it was difficult to man handle up the numerous steps. So take my advice and use the smallest cases you can get way with.
The studio apartment consists of one room measuring roughly 4 x 4m and is very basic. It has a little 2 ring hob and sink, fridge and cupboards with just enough plates, cups etc. for three people. There is a double bed, a chair/bed, small table and 3 chairs. The toilet is small, but functional, with a hand basin and a shower. The shower worked OK, but for some reason the wall support is positioned about a metre or so up off the shower floor, so unless you are a very, very short person, you'd never be able to stand underneath it! So you need to hold the shower head in one hand whilst bathing. No big hardship, but strange.
It is not luxurious in anyway, its basic living, but its clean, quiet, it has Wi-Fi, a TV with English speaking channel/s and the views, wow, they are utterly amazing! It must have one of the best views from its little private balcony of anywhere in Dubrovnik.
There is a bakery and two supermarkets within about a 5 minute walk. Just go out of the N/West city wall exit, turn right and follow the city wall round to the shops.
Would I stay here again, yes I would. However, I must say that you do need to be reasonably fit, because the amount of steps to get anywhere to centre, are numerous and it is extremely tiring, especially climbing up them. But its worth it if you are able bodied, just for the views alone.

The views are why you stay here

We stayed here for a week. The apartment was perfect location about 2 minutes walk to the entrance to the old town. Plenty of shops/bakeries/supermarkets nearby and about 30seconds from Tobasco pizzeria. The apartment was spacious and clean with a really nice balcony that had a great view of the city walls and held the sun for the the best part of the day. Would stay again

Great apartment to stay a week

Overall pleased. Good cleanliness, good size, good location near the cable car. Good amount of cutlery need a sharp knife. Only thing is they have two apartments and all photos are of one of them not the other one. It was fine but...I think both would be a fairer representation.

Hosts were brilliant. Great communication before. Marko met us at the airport & gave us information on places to see whilst driving us to the apartment.  Toni was brilliant taking us back to the airport Apartment.  The apartment was like being at home. Comfortable and spacious. Beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept on away from home. Within a few mins walk of the old town and city walls as we were situated in the apartment just below the cable car. Perfect place. Could fault anything!  Thank you so much and we would love to visit again in the future.
