I suppose this apartment had everything we needed given that we weren’t in the apartment much and it was in an excellent location to explore the old town. 

We had advised the owner of our arrival time so she knew when to check us in, but apparently she was unable to be there and we were greeted outside by a waitress from the pizza restaurant below (which used the same entrance as the apartments). She showed us to our room and advised the owner would be around at some point. She was a difficult lady to contact should we have any issues - we relayed on the pizza staff calling her. 

The room was not as shown in the photos. I think our room was the only one that hadn’t been photographed. I get the impression ours was maybe still awaiting a makeover that the others had received, with a bright red thick carpet! The room was tiny, but the bathroom was nice and it had aircon. However we had a room with no kitchenette and there were no tea or coffee making facilities. As we arrived late it would have been nice to at least have had some complimentary water in the room. 

All in all it does the job for a budget room if location is more important to you than anything else! 

Very basic but great location 

Lovely apartment located in a great part of the old city, but we were not without some issues.  We stayed in the off season, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to be exact.  As we were going to be there over the holidays and aware that many places would be closed, I messaged ahead to ask some specific questions to know how to prepare for our arrival and our stay.  The messages were answered, but were not helpful.  I had asked about parking and was simply told to park outside the city walls.  We arrived to find nearly all parking full.  It took us over an hour to find parking and make our way to the apartment as which point it was very late at night.  My second message I had sent ahead of time was in regards to what would be open in Croatia and if we should bring our own groceries with the holiday closures.  The answer I received was simply that our hostess would answer all questions upon our arrival (which did not help us plan ahead at all), and we arrived so late that she had already gone to bed and was not in a position to be answering questions when we arrived.  

We were asked to pay upon arrival, but told she only took cash.  Never in our booking was it stated that it was cash only.  As we had just arrived in Croatia and it was after midnight, we did not have local currency.  She said to get the money and just leave it in the room for her, as she would be  busy with family over the holidays for the next two days.  It was clearly implied that she would not be available to assist us while we were staying.  This would have been well and good and understandable as it was the holidays if the room had been adequately stocked in preparation for her not being available.  As it was, we only had a half a roll of toilet paper and we did not have a full set of utensils in the kitchen so we had to eat our meals in shifts rather than enjoy it together.  Whoever had the second shift of eating got to eat a cold Christmas dinner.  :(  

On Christmas Eve I became ill and needed some medicine from the local pharmacy.  The one we found was closed and we were told they were all closed.  I messaged our hostess and asked if I could possibly buy what I needed off of her.  She said that she knew a pharmacy that was open and would go to the pharmacy for me and bring what I needed when she brought the toilet paper that we had to request.  Great! She later arrived with the toilet paper but not the medicine I needed.  Had she simply told us where we could have found the pharmacy was located, we could have went to retrieve it ourselves.  By the time she arrived and did not have any medicine, the pharmacy was closed and would be the following day as well so I was then stuck without.

So, while the apartment was nice, had a good price for off season, and was in a great location, it was not without several communication/customer service issues.

Good Apartment, Good Location

We booked the Ivory apartments for 2 nights in the old town to start off our holiday. When we were dropped off at the main gate we had no idea where to go, however a nice local policeman showed us the way. When we got to the apartment it was clear we would have never have found it ourselves as the entrance was tucked away and the same entrance to a pizzeria kitchen. There was a sign outside but it was so small you would have never have seen it while walking around. 
The owner greeted us at around 11pm and showed us straight to our room. Our room was small but as only a base suited our needs. As we were still acclimatising the first night we found it extremely hot and put the air con on.
This was extremely loud but did the job and kept us cool. In the morning we noticed there was only 1 towel between the 2 of us so we ended up sharing for 2 days which was the most disappointing thing, as it was apartments the owner was not present to ask for another so had to make do. The apartment was tidy and clean(ish) although could do with a deep clean and a spruce up. There were chips in the shower basin and a couple of odd hairs on the floor.
There was a terrace but we never used it so could not comment on this.
Location was excellent and completely central within the old town walls which allowed us to explore and touch base in between easily to pick things up or change. 
Overall good apartment and would recommend if you are looking for a base only, if you are looking for an apartment to spend some time in on your trip then this is probably not the best place in my opinion.

Central Location of Old Town

When you visit Dubrovnik really all that matters is the location you're staying! There are no public toilets around and about, and this apartment is in literally the best location to get to everything. It's inside the walls, so it's brilliant to nip back to when you need to. 
It's just above a pizza restaurant so our room did have a bit of a smell to it, but really we just needed a bed for a few nights and this place worked just perfectly!
Thanks to the host that checked us in - she recommended some great places to us and was super friendly!! 

GREAT LOCATION! 

We arrived early and were able to drop off luggage before room was ready. The location is just off the main Stradun street meaning no steep steps to climb except in property.
The room was compact but well designed and situated over a tasty pizzeria which we tried one evening when heavy rain fell. They open up to 12am.
Added bonus is a small roof terrace with good views - breakfast would be nice here.
Overall, we were v happy with the room and location. The shower was powerful.
