Cozy apartment inside the walled city was comfortable. Host Pero was warm and hospitable. Great location close to Buža Gate minimized burden of luggage hauling up and down many steep steps. Originally planned 3 nights; we got sick and asked if we could stay longer to recover. Pero somehow juggled schedule to help us out - we were very grateful.
A/C worked well and was needed.

Cozy apartment at great location.

The apartment was nice and well equipped (fridge, freezer, stowe, oven, coffe maker,…). The view from our (rather big) balcony was amazing: beatiful Isle of Lokrum and the old city. 

Our balcony was partly covered, which was nice during the hottest hours of the day. 

Our host Miho and her sister Mia were extremely kind and helpful. 

Cleaning service every two days (worked for us). 

If there is anything negative to say about Dubrovnik then it is that there are a LOT of (very steep) stairs 😎!

Time stops in here.

The property is clean and neat and well located. What really made this place stand out was the personnel.

We had an issue with a reservation that we thought we made, but had nothing to document it. I contacted the owners, only to find that we DID not have a reservation. But Miho immediately helped me to make one. Moreover, he also offered to arrange transportation from the airport. Everything was perfect when we arrived.

Moreover, Miho, the owner, was there to help us at every step of the way. Payment was easy. Transportation from the hotel was easy. Recommendation for restaurants were very  good. Our trip was better solely because we stayed at Villa Ragusa. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in visiting the Old City and wanting suggestions on what to do and where to eat. This was a very good choice.

A delightful stay in Dubrovnik with help from Villa Ragusa

Came to dubrovnik for a week with my boyfriend and enjoyed every aspect of this holiday. We booked Villa Ragusa well in advance and Mia was always happy to answer my barrage of questions via email - her and her brother are so lovely and very easy to contact, she gave us plenty of tips on what to do and was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. We were able to request a microwave for our room at no extra charge as we stayed in one of the smaller double rooms that had air con, a fridge, tv, and lovely en suite bathroom, but did not have a view. This was fine for us as we barely spent any time in the room, and since the villa comes with a terrace all we had to do was go up some stairs to enjoy a stunning view of Dubrovnik harbour and the island of Lokrum.  A shuttle from the airport can also be arranged with Mia and this made travelling so much easier and less stressful for us.  
The rooms are cleaned every other day and are very comfortable and well kept. It is good value for money, especially given the location! We never needed public transport to do anything, we were always within walking distance of fabulous beaches (Banje and St Jacobs), the old town, and the cable car up the mountain. The only slight negative is the number of stairs to get to the villa - luckily upon arrival the shuttle dropped us off at the top end so we only had to carry luggage down a few flights, and Mia and her brother took our luggage for us at check out. Of course, this is Dubrovnik; it’s a lot of hills and stairs everywhere so it’s to be expected - be prepared!

All in all had a lovely stay at the villa and a truly incredible time in Dubrovnik. Cannot recommend enough. x

Holiday of a lifetime 

Villa is within walking distance from the Old Town. Rooms are well equiped and host is very nice. Although it is hard to reach Villa Ragusa after party ;) or with your luggage - the are over 100 steps up from the lower street and around 50 steps down from the upper street. We didn't know it before arrival and had to take heavy suitcases up in the middle of the summer.

Nice place to stay

We made the mistake of coming in at the wrong gate to the Old Town of Dubrovnik, and, as a result, had to drag our suitcases up what amounted to several fights of stairs (with no rails) to this very small, family-owned hotel.  The owner welcomed us and provided very personal attention.  There is no breakfast included (or available) in the hotel, so be prepared to walk up and down steps to get something to eat for every meal.  The owner, Pero, fought in the civil war in the 1990's, and we enjoyed hearing about his life and how he came to own the hotel (it came through his family--which was a very interesting story).  This was a Rick Steeves-recommended location, and we would recommend it to friends with the caveat that, as others have said, you better be in good physical condition to stay here.

Very nice, but be warned about the location!

The apartments are fantastic- very modern, clean and well equipped. There are about 50 steps to get to the apartments. We loved our stay here and found it conveniently located. It's about a 10 minute walk to the city walls and is away from the chaos within the city walls. Highly recommend these apartments! You can catch a shuttle from the airport to Pile gates and get a taxi from there to the apartments. There are lots of stairs to climb from Pile so don't attempt to walk it with luggage.
