Nice little place, great breakfast, exceptional staff willing to go out of their way to help. We were coming in late and they waited for half an hour after their shift to welcome us with a warm smile and a cold drink. Nothing is a problem for them and everything they do is followed with a smile.

People are the soul of this place

My girlfriend and I visit Mali Ston and search for fresh oysters and find this amazing place.
They have so many different preparations for oysters and big menu.
We even try sea eggs amazing experience. 
Highly recommend!

Great food and service!

We had a wonderful lunch in the hotel dining room overlooking the harbour wished we had more time in Mali Ston. The oysters were amazing. Fish soup was what I needed while battling a cold. The girls had the chicken which came with a salad and feast bread.

Quiet day in Ston and Mali Ston.

From our stay I would say the main reason to visit the Villa Koruna is the excellent food and first class service from Antonia and her team. From the moment we arrived she looked after us so well. We were a group of eight cyclists looking for a good meal and nights sleep.

We were greeted with a welcome local drink and lots of smiles.

The rooms and furniture are very tired and in need of updating. 

Our room had a fold down sofa bed as a double bed. !!! it seemed to be a permanent fixture so not great when you are expecting a "real" bed....  The shower head holder was broken and therefore the shower hose over the bath was just hanging....
The toilet door handle was missing inside the toilet / bathroom. !!!
Poor wifi reception in the bedrooms.

On the positive side, the food served in the restaurant was first class. Seafood being their strength.  Many of the meals were served in huge sea shells, very impressive but more importantly the portions were huge and tasted really good.

The restaurant itself like the rest of the hotel is very dated. There are many unusual paintings throughout that seem out of character for the hotel.

Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable for the quality.

We were all presented with a packet of local salt on our departure which was a very nice touch.

In summary I would not stay here for the accommodation alone (there is likely a better choice of hotels in nearby Ston).
However if your looking for good food, good portions at reasonable prices it's worth a visit.

The outstanding service from Antonia who seems to hold the whole thing together and made our stay enjoyable is he only reason I'm giving it four stars. (Without that it would be three stars).

Five stars for food and service, three stars for accomodation...

I've been here on my way down to Dubrovnik and you know I'm a little picky so I'm going to be sincere. Despite some waiter who could have been more kind and the air conditioned which was off (it's agost!!) I had delicious food. For starter I had oyster who he were tasty like only oyster can be and then mussel spaghetti which were great. Everything getting along with the house white wine's. I left happy. It worthed the price and the led astray from my trip. Go there and don't think it twice.

While the staff and the food downstairs are lovely, this hotel needs major updating. The towels are old and very small. Our shower didn't have a door that closed all the way. The rooms are dark, cold and really outdated. Wifi is not consistently good.  Tv didn't work. It is about a 10-15 minute walk into the town of Ston, which is one of its few redeeming qualities.

Unfortunately the rooms and restaurant are in a bad need of up-dating.  We asked for a double and got a room with a put you up double sofa bed and a single sofa bed, which were very uncomfortable.  The bathroom was something out of the seventies and the towels had seen better days.  We thought the food would make up for the disappointing rooms, but we found other restaurants within walking distance with the same priced food but of a superior quality, we had the spaghetti with sea shells, and the mussels and clams were very chewy, which is a shame as the area is famous for it's fresh oysters and mussels.  On the positive side the staff were very nice.
