To solve an overbooking somewhere else, we booked two studio apartments on this place for one night, of two persons each. The price was quite high (more than €65 each, although the official rate in peak season was €45), given the fact the comfort was basic: a common terrace for the whole complex, no wifi, basic and old design. The owner even did not have a printer to print a barcode for our return by boat. However, we did not have any other alternative, as owner probably knew.

In the evening, as we were tired and we did not want to take the car for diner. So, we asked the owner for the restaurants in Saplunara. He told us that there were nothing, but a small fast food downstairs the complex. So, we preferred to buy some stuff in the small super market, next to the complex to prepare the diner. After diner, we had a walk in the village and found out there where many restaurants. The owner just wanted to push us toward a snack he was managing. We found this deeply disgusting, as he has spoiled our evening!

But the worst part of our stay was certainly the very noisy party going on the whoe night next to our apartments, keeping us awake until the early morning. And, last but not least, despite the fact that we agreed to check-out at 10am as our rooms had to be prepared for the next visitors, the cleaning lady came earlier in our rooms to kick us out - just in the line of the way they cure their guests.

If you consult my profile, you will see that I am not a difficult person. But this place went much beyond the limits of the acceptable.

My only advise is to stay away from this place.

Horrible experience!

We rented for two nights an apartment with two bedrooms in this guest house, each room with its own private bathroom which is very convenient when you share a rental with a couple of friends. The apartment is quite large and clean, the comfortable beds and the view of the beautiful little balcony but the whole thing remains simple and basic which is not very embarrassing because the price is quite reasonable and one does not have much inside. The island of Mljet actually offers hiking and beautiful beaches to discover, Saplunara is really worth visiting.

Basic apartment but good quality price ratio

The apartment was nice and clean but quite small, we didn't spend much time in it anyway because there are nice walks to do and especially the saplunara beach which is very nice, it is a sandy beach. There is a restaurant on the beach that I don't recommend, go instead to see the cousin of the owner who has a restaurant a little higher with a beautiful and clear view of the sea, the price ratio is very good.
