Marija was a great host. She explained very well how to get to the property, was very responsive to messages and prepared homemade lemonade for our arrival. 
The place is spacious and has a nice balcony to enjoy the morning coffee. 
Walking distance to the beach, ferry port and Hvar city centre.

Live "like the locals" in Hvar

Stari Grad is a cute town, on the coast of the island of Hvar. We decided not to stay in Hvar, which we didn't regret at all. We had a car, so we drove to Hvar, and other small towns on the island. We sampled the local wines on the side of the road. The apartment was a perfect location for all our outings.

Walking distance to restaurants and the beach

Apartments Marija was the perfect place for our stay on Hvar. Marija was one of the nicest hosts we have ever stayed with, she always did everything she could to make our stay the best. She gave us fresh orange juice when we checked in and again when we left, as well as some home made ham pancakes. She even did some washing for us, and dropped as at the ferry port when we left! The apartment contained everything we needed, with a really big balcony, a kitchen to use and a great bathroom. The location was also perfect - only 3 minutes walk to a swimming beach that had the best sunset views possible (the sun set right between the two headlands on either side of Stari Grad bay). It was also less than a 10 minute walk to Stari Grad town along the water, and less than 10 minutes to the big supermarket and ferry port. We highly highly recommend this place for the great location, facilities and particularly the host Marija. If we come to Stari Grad again we will definitely stay here.
