This lovely place is even better when you met the host vladimir he is sooo helpful and such a good person!we were so lucky that our trip brought us to him. We also met his family they all made us feel like a part of it! Kind and good hearted people.

In about 20min you are in the middle of the city center. And less than that at a beach with two restaurants.

Great hosts near beach and city

Left our tent in Split and headed for Hvar for a couple of nights. It is a bit of a hike up to Villa Nina but worth the effort. We had a lovely apartment, clean and tidy with a small garden patio. Enjoyed many conversations with the hosts who are also well travelled. 
on our departure we were about to walk back to the ferry but our hosts insisted they gave us a lift.

Great Hosts

Where do I start?
Location - this location is up in a hill. If you don't get a taxi or schedule for the owner to pick you up you are at of luck!! This location is not close to the center at all.
Staff - this is by far the worst hotel or apartment I've ever stayed in.  I gave the owner pastries to save for me since apartment was not ready at the time of arrival. Come to find out later on the day that the staff end up eating them all. This were specially homemade pastries from island of korcula. The cleaning lady was rude and moody.  The owner was not trustworthy at all. On our last day that he was supposed to take us to the ferry. Well he end up not showing up. Even though by email he agreed to take us. His lack of care  almost cost us missing our ferry ride to split. Extremely irresponsible and rude from  him and his staff! Who eats someone's pastries without asking first!!!! I am out of words

Worst experience of my trip

Lovely apartment, modern and stylish inside, air con, all kitchen necessities, bathroom is tiny but nicely done up and the bed was comfy! The outdoor terrace had seating and a table for two - it was great to sit outside any time of the day or night!

The town is 15 mins walk away and much nicer than getting a cab.

There is a gorgeous little beach about 15-20 mins away - beware the rocky and winding path though! Worth the tackle to get there and definitely easier going back up. Don't bother with a cocktail there - they were beyond poor!

There is a shop 5 mins down the road and is open until 9:30pm (except on Sundays) to stock the fridge up with water and beer!

There is also an ironing service available if you need it.

If you email in advance they will try to come and pick you and your luggage up in their retro 80s yellow jeep!

A beautiful, quiet street with a lovely walk into the main square in 15 mins!

We stayed at Villa Nina for two nights in June, as part of a four destination stay.  Hvar was our third destination.

The nearest beach is about 10 minutes from the apartments, down a rocky track.  At the beach there are two restaurants, sun beds and umbrella for hire.  Beautiful snorkelling on both sides of the bay, with plenty of life to see.

Hvar town is about 20 minutes walk along a reasonably straight road, where there is a harbour and many restaurants.  Some of which are quite expensive.

We had dinner with the hosts on our second night, together with an Australian couple also staying at the Villa Nina.  We split the cost of the meat, our hosts did the cooking and purchased the vegetables.  Shared a very flavoursome tagine of beef and lamb, wonderful.
